I know it's a chain vet and chains are ruining the private vet market but this place has been great for me and my pups personally. And the fact that I can go to other Banfields with continuity is great too.

I used Banfield for a long time mostly because it’s convenient to have my dog’s records and other things available to me. However, all the Banfield locations in WA are terribly busy because they’re understaffed or don’t have enough veterinarians (likely because they don’t pay them because of corporate greed). Last time I took my dog there, they had called me and asked me to reschedule for them 3 times. It took me 2 months to get him in for a yearly exam which took THE WHOLE DAY. I never saw or even talked to a vet, but on the report it said he had some teeth issues. If I hadn’t read the report, I’d never know. His records don’t show his weight, so I guess they just skipped weighing him? Avoid the corporate stuff and go somewhere local where people actually care about your pet.

I really appreciate the staff here being so helpful. We were having car trouble and missed the ferry to pick our cat up at 6 and they were able to stay until we could get the next ferry to get him. He was well taken care of and his dental cleaning was very nicely done.

I have been taking my cats there for years. They are very responsive and thorough. I have my cats on Wellness Plans, which I highly recommend, but flea and pest treatment is not included (?!?!?!?!) for some reason and is rather expensive. I am not sure why that isn't considered preventative care. Also, my reason for 4 stars: if your pet passes away while on a Wellness Plan, you will continue to be charged until the full year is up...essentially paying for a deceased best friend for months.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
Yes they do
