Terrible Receptionist. Deceptive Practices. Needed to get my pet's tooth extracted, so they insisted I schedule a routine check-up. I arrive at the clinic at the scheduled appointment time. Since only one customer is allowed at a time, me and my pet were stuck waiting outside for 15 minutes in the cold while the receptionist continued to avoid eye contact. After the general check-up was over, I was told I needed to sign up for Banfield's proprietary pet insurance to get the extraction done. This would incur an additional $100 sign up fee along with a monthly fee. Instead of disclosing this important information , they happily took my money for the routine check-up before bamboozling me. Avoid this vet at all costs. Also based on the number of google reviews and the high ratings compared to yelp, the reviews are likely fake and paid for.

We took our new cat in and we had an issue getting her records but it ended up being an issue with the email address. We like the location but would like to see them revisit their COVID protocol. There are two options.. either wait outside on a busy street (or find parking?) Or you can wait in the vestibule and obviously then you're super close to any staff or customers coming to the door. There is a medium size waiting room inside. Basically the policy forces you to be very close to someone or be out on the street. Second time we chose street. We liked the vet and the assistant was nice but we would have appreciated if the annual membership sales pitch would have been either put off till the end of our visit or on the phone rather than in the vestibule with two staff members, my girlfriend, and myself. We're not that worried about COVID anymore but please consider this backwards policy. Maybe put a tape line down in the waiting room and then we could pop the cat on the counter? Or put chairs outside (not the best spot for nervous cats). Or even no precautions would be better than either 100% to close or standing on a busy sidewalk or sitting on the ground. It's also across the street from a busy bus stop. We love the neighborhood just not when we have a cat in a bag and it's super hot or cold out while we need to either wait 30+ minutes or walk home and back. Ok rant over check out that policy..

I scheduled an appt. For my dog to be seen at 10:30. I got a confirming voicemail from Amanda that my appt. was at 10:45. I showed up at 10:40 assuming that my appt. Was pushed and then was told I was late and they couldn’t see my dog. It’s bad enough having to book weeks in advance to have my dog seen only to be told I’m late due to a mistake by one of their employees. Banfield, specifically the QA location is a joke!

Top marks for Dr. Yu and the team here at Queen Anne Banfield! I had a very good experience for what we needed, from scheduling my appointment up to end and getting my furry friend back. This location was very accommodating given my regular Banfield and others were booked up 10 days out everywhere else. Dr. Yu provided great information and was very thorough in explanations and the entire team I interacted with was very helpful. Another plus is that it is near the Seattle Center which provided a good area to take a walk with my buddy. Thank you!

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 16, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
