This place is great. The front desk staff welcomed me right when I walked in, and they were very helpful getting my kitty registered as a patient. Entire staff is very personable and kind, and they all treated me and my kitty with patience and respect. The vet was very thorough and kind, and she explained to me very clearly what I needed to do to take care of my kitty. They were really busy today, but still managed to get me in in a timely manner and communicated to me ahead of time that they were busier than usual today. 10/10 would recommend bringing your pet here.

Happy with my experience. Urban Animal was one of the only places who could get my dog in day-of when it was an emergency. Staff was kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. Long wait time, but they have a system where they text you 20-30 minutes before you're called so you can leave and come back, which was also a plus. Would recommend.

After being turned away by two vets who had seen our cat in the past, we found out about Urban Animals' walk-in appointments and went over with only 30 minutes to spare prior to closing. They still let us in even with all the new patient forms and evaluations. Since the pandemic began, we haven't been able to speak face-to-face with a vet even when dealing with a mile long list of chronic illnesses. We were so happy to be in the room during the examination and feel like we were finally being heard! For the first time in months, I feel like we have a solid game plan and enough support to get our cat healthy again. So grateful for everything you do!

My cat had a toe injury that I discovered one evening while trimming his claws. The following morning I called my normal vet and the soonest they could see him was 1-2 weeks out. It wasn't a dire emergency, but he needed care sooner than that. I called one other vet who had a similar wait time and then someone recommended Urban Animal. I checked their website and the Capitol Hill clinic had a short wait time, so I drove 30 minutes into Seattle and was able to be seen right away. The staff was unbelievably kind, the vet was very informative and gentle with my cat, and the cost of service was extremely reasonable - probably less than my regular vet would have charged. This clinic is amazing and they're doing great work!

Questions & Answers

On what days is a radiologist available?

Christopher Husted | Jun 17, 2022
Urban Animal | Jun 17, 2022

We have the ability to take radiographs (X-rays) Monday through Friday - we do not have a radiologist on staff to read them so they are submitted online. As for ultrasounds, our traveling radiologist comes in on Tuesdays, but these need to be scheduled ahead of time. I hope this answers your question and if you have follow up questions do not hesitate to ask! Hello, if you have concerns about your friends dog you are welcome to bring her to our clinic tomorrow (Thursday) as we are walk-in and no appointment is necessary. However if she has a regular vet that her owner normally takes her to, I recommend calling them first to see if they can get her in. If you haven't already, I also recommend you contact Luna's owner to make sure everyone is on the same page. I hope Luna feels better soon! ~ Mollyrose, Client Liaison

My dog was refer to your clinic back in 02/2020 and had surgery. I was refer to you from the animal shelter Doney paid for his care. My question is my dog has been seen there before, can he be seen again at no cost? He is acting like he is in pain

Hi Monica, the question you asked has only been seen by Google Guides and is really a question for the clinic itself. You should call the clinic phone number and speak to someone to have your question answered rapidly.

Do they neuter rabbits? If so, how much would that cost?

Auguste Snyder | Aug 16, 2021
Brandon Fry | Aug 16, 2021

Unfortunately no, the veterinarians here are not exotic vets. You will want to find an exotics vet that will be better able to accommodate a rabbit neuter. There is a great exotics vet in Shoreline, AllPet veterinary clinic. Good luck!
