Refrigerator under warranty, this was the 4th time in 4 years, after ordering the parts and retiring with another repair person said after they opened it up and said the fridge was not repairable. They contacted Sears, when I called Sears 48 hours later as instructed, they set up a date for the replacement. Yes, I’m waiting 3 weeks for delivery, it is challenging. But so far no issues from Sears. No issues with the repair men who took the time to determine it was not repairable.

Had our Refrigerator/Freezer repaired. The compressor had failed, and a Sears repair person came and diagnosed the issue. He provided us with two options...repair/replace the compressor for $1025 or replace the whole fridge (a replacement would cost about $2500). For us, the cost of repair seemed rather overpriced for the time it would take to do the repair, but it was cheaper than replacing (compressor was approx $500 and the labor, which was about 1 1/2 hours, was the rest). The quality of work was excellent, and the repair person was very professional. One thing is for sure, for future purchase of our next fridge, we will be buying a fridge that has a 10 year warranty for the compressor. Ours did not have a compressor warranty beyond the normal fridge warranty. But, I digress...the overall work and service of this repair was excellent.

Our refrigerator went out on December 23. They came to look at it on December 24th. The repair tech said it was the compressor, and that he would be back on Monday, December 27th to repair it. He did not call on Monday, so we called him. He said the part wouldn’t be in until Wednesday. This was repeated on Wednesday, then on Friday. We finally got hold of a Sears supervisor in the middle of the next week . She called the technician, and told him to finish the job if he wanted to get paid. The part had been sitting there for a week, and he finally came back to fix the refrigerator. This was the worst bloody service that I’ve ever received in my life. Most people on yelp say the same thing.

So far, so good. Freezer is waiting for two more weeks for repair to return to replace the part that arrived quickly. The service tech was friendly, helpful, knowledgable, and communicated in a timely fashion when they would arrive and kept me posted.
