The company is one of the more affordable options for arranging a cross country move. As a servicemember, the military discount is practical (10-15%) However, when it comes to acquiring weight tickets... good luck. I will likely have to pay additional money to weigh my household goods again so that I can provide weight tickets to transportation (without those documents I will not be reimbursed by Uncle Sam). I know of other people who have had a positive experience with the company, but I will not do business with this organization again.

My experience with PODS was the east part of my move! Nothing was damaged and very minimal shifting occurred. The tip of staying a certain amount away from the door when packing was very helpful and attributed to the success of my experience! We were able to fit way more into the pod then I originally figured. My only regret was not ordering two!

Quite honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Initially everything was great and the sales team was friendly and helpful. We set up a cross country move and our POD arrived and was picked up no problem. After that everything went down hill. We needed weight tickets for filling a refund through my job. They did not provide me with an empty weight ticket for my POD despite having requested one multiple times. We requested to pick up our stuff from the facility and we're told it has been arranged. When we arrived out no one was there and our POD hadn't been brought out. We had to rent a U-Haul truck a second day and eat the costs for that. After we emptied the POD we were told they would get us an empty weight ticket. We never received one despite calling back and forth for nearly 8 months. We finally had enough and my moving fees were never reimbursed putting us out thousands of dollars. Do not trust this company or their customer service, they refuse to help or call back. They are excellent at giving you the runaround.

PODS provided extremely poor quality of customer service to my family. First off, the customer service representative (s) entered my information wrong into their system as a customer. They input my last name wrong, my address was incomplete, and also they entered my security information incorrect as well. There was not one experience that I had with this business that was satisfactory! During the delivery of my POD to my resident, Danny the delivery driver delivered my POD to a wrong location in which he was instructed by me and management not to drop the POD on the East side. Danny delivered the POD on the east side anyway and just left the POD there. This put my assets and things at risk of being stolen and/ or towed. This company caused me so much turmoil and anxiety. Due to the incompetence of the delivery driver Danny, I had to schedule a repositioning of the POD so that it would not get towed. They never kept the schedule and never came to reposition the POD to where it WAS SUPPOSED to be delivered. Instead, Gabriel, the regional manager came out the day before the schedule repositioning and took the POD away without even informing me! I was never able to empty my POD nor my assets out of it! The PODS organization put my in a compromising position, me and my family! I had to file a police report on my assets, and the regional PODS manager never informed me that he was going to come and take the POD away. The POD redelivery was a horrendous experience for me and my family. If Danny, the delivery guy would have follow management and my directions on where to deliver it, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE EVERY HAPPENED! Due to this experience, I paid a monthly fee for a POD that I was not able to utilize for the timeframe in which I paid for. Due to this experience, I paid for a redelivery, in which I should get my money back for as the POD was delivered to a location in which I do not even live! Due to this experience, I lost assets and money! My family and I was treated very poorly and we are highly dissatisfied with PODS! We do not and will not recommend them to retired military families, let alone any family at all. Do Not Use PODS They are not the easy, stress free solution to you families moving needs!

A 15° slope would be reasonable, but only if the loader/unloader is skilled enough (depending on circumstance) anything past a 15° slope is pushing it..
Yes u have to pay for it like storage.
PODS customers are responsible for locking their portable container. You can use your own lock or one can be delivered with your container. Either way, you're the only one with the key.
We offer 3 container sizes: 7', 12', and 16'. You can learn more here: https://www.pods.com/portable-container-sizes. And no, we do not sell our containers.
It varies. The containers come in 3 different sizes. And it depends on how far you're moving to because they charge you by the mile. You just call them and they will bring you a container for you to load your stuff into or you can bring your stuff to one of their locations for you to load, which ever is more convenient for you.
