I ordered 2 filet mignon steaks as they were the special for the night at a reduced price. Not as tender and juicy as I would expect a filet to be, but they were OK. When I was presented with the bill, the steaks were at full price. Thinking that I must have mis-read the menu board when we walked in, I paid the bill. On the way out, I double checked the specials' board and I was not mistaken. So I asked the manager for clarification. It took almost as long to correct the bill as it did to order and consume the meal! The waitress apologized stating that she was not aware of the specials. I would thing that the current prices would show up automatically in their cash register.

Haven't been in a host's in three ir four years. Should have skipped it this time. The service was decent in spite of being very shorthanded, but that's thd best I can say about it. Half the buffet items were cold. I asked for my burger well done... it came too pink and barely warm. They were too busy and we were too tired after driving in so I didn't bother sending it back. My husband's chopped steak was dry and overcooked but cold. We both got fries... barely warm. I don't need to go back to any hoss's ever again.

I had a great lunch here. The salad bar was full and fresh, the soups were delicious and the the nacho bar was great. The only thing I have bad to say, but not deducting a star, was that the bread was not as good as it used to be. The dessert bar was fantastic. The peanut butter sauce and ice cream always does the trick and meant butter pie made it even better.

Not the place to go for steaks. Over cooked and tough. Kitchen lacks the skills to cook anything besides dried out. Even the chicken sandwich was dried out. That being said - the wait staff is great. Nice folks. Attentive. The salad bar is excellent and that alone is a great reason to stop here to eat!
