Don't expect to visit for more than 30 minutes. There are currently 5 planes on exhibit. An excellent idea is to visit the rest of this state park, including Fort Vancouver and grassy area adjacent to the museum and fort. The volunteers on my visit were very knowledgeable and explained the significance of this field in the manufacture of aircraft during the first world war.

Really unique place. There are some cool planes and interesting exhibits. It has a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff.

A hangar full of World War I era aircrafts. Entrance is free and is nice quick tour around the Vancouver, WA area!

I have not been in the museum for many years but I walk past almost daily on a hike around this area. I remember the museum as being interesting and well done. Lots of local lore relating to aircraft and the impact to Vancouver and the area in general. There is always plenty of parking. The area around the museum contain the historic Ft' Vancouver and the park grounds surrounding the fort. Loaded with hiking paths . Handicap accessible.

Yes. Waaam in hood River will also take them
Although 'The Friends of Fort Vancouver' held a fall dance in 2017, there is no such event listed in their current calendar. I'd check with them to confirm upcoming events.
I think you are asking the wrong questions in the wrong place. Pearson air museum is just that a small museum that takes about 30-45 min to walk thru and is free. Pearson air field is a small airport that is not used as a long distance airport. if you are flying to the Portland area use PDX as your hub.
Homewood suites is near as well as downtown Vancouver with the hilton, comfort inn and others.
If you Google search the phrase -- motels near Pearson Field -- a TripAdvisor site has a list of area hotels/motels.
It would be best to check the website or call during business hours for those kind of details.
Also, the first dirigible air mail landed there. I don't remember the year, but it was sent from PDX and landed there.
