The reviews from Sabian B and Brinnan G we’re both left 2 weeks ago by YMCA staffs family members…Sabian is Cindy’s son, and ironically in 2021 he wrote a Facebook status about how he “can’t imagine being a woman in the gym having “holes stared through them”…don’t worry we’ve taken a screen shot of her sons brilliant Facebook post…which ironically is one of the primary issues with this facility…creeper men and how they degrade women, sexualize them, and make them feel unsafe…Cyndie wright denies this ever occurs in the YMCA and yet her own son on Facebook posts about this exact behavior…then leaves fake reviews for the YMCA. Weird. All of these fake reviews starting popping up right after a Better Business Bureau investigation was initiated with the YMCA. They are not from actual YMCA members, they are simply an effort made by staff & Cyndie Wright to try to save face & reputation after their extremely poor leadership, and total lack of intervention to very obvious on going problems within the facility. These accounts also made a point to laugh at & mock legitimate reviews left by members expressing concern & issues they had while exercising in this facility. Rather than address the issues professionally, they chose to respond deceitfully, disingenuously, and with a total lack of integrity. This pattern of behavior is common place within this YMCA by staff who refuse to hold themselves or other members accountable for their own actions or lack there of. The YMCA has been steadily losing membership & struggling to keep staff on board(read their reviews online about working there…speaks for itself). Numerous unfavorable reviews have been deleted, and the YMCA is making a coordinated effort to silence any truth being told about the environment within the facility, erasing descriptions of actual encounters there, and refusing to admit any wrong doing while victim blaming…example: “she was asking for it because of the clothing she was wearing”. If you’re looking for a facility with dilapidated equipment that’s rusting & malfunctioning regularly this place is for you. If you’re looking for a facility that allows creeper men to freely roam around creeping on young women, this place is for you. If you’re looking for a gym who’s lack of funding & fair pay to staff is abundantly clear through the attitude of staff & physical condition of equipment this place is for you. If you’re looking for a none inclusive environment to work out in this place is for you. If you’re looking to not feel safe while you work out, this place is for you. If you’re looking for “wellness coaches” with no formal training, certifications or education in health or fitness, this place is for you. If you’re looking to have to listen to young adults cursing constantly, talking about graphically sexual topics, violence, and drug use regularly, this facility is for you.

Was here for kids basketball at the time and it was cool. Not sure about rest of facility but I'm sure it's like most other ymca's.

Pros: Convenient Location Child care options Easy parking Affordable monthly membership Cons: A lot of equipment from the 80s-90s, so that they have way better modern designs in other gyms Most all of the plates are miss matched so finding weights that match can sometimes be a bother especially if you want bumper plates . The women’s shower room is hottt (like 80s ) with no ventilation and the : showers are always sooo dirty . Like acute and chronic dirty . They need a good scrub and a daily tidy by staff . Many people that are homeless or under housed come here for the showers, which means the 3 shower stalls need maintenance to remain sanitary with the high traffic. Also I was asked by the female trainer not to show any midriff. ( just a side note for those joining that may be accustomed to different dress codes at other gyms ).
