I was about to give up on my antique lamp but took it to Joel’s to look for a lampshade. He helped me pick a shade and rewired the lamp, and made it into a beautiful piece.

I brought a pair of my grandmother’s lamps into Joel for rewiring. Joel rewired the lamps and updated the cord color. He even helped me choose the right size lamp shades. Looking forward to enjoying my lamps for many decades.

The only good thing I can say is he answers the phone. I called before coming in, asking about a used lamp I bought that did work, but seemed like possibly had some frayed wiring in the socket part of the lamp. I then took it in, asked again about the wiring I saw that concerned me, and he refused to look at the wiring. He forced the socket piece back in the lamp, but a bulb in, turned it on, and said "It works." That's it. I already knew it worked. So I left with my same concern about the wiring of this very old lamp.

I’ve taken my lamps to Harold’s/Joel’s for years now and they always do quality work. They have a good variety of shades, fixtures, and spare parts. The owner is kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable! I wouldn’t take my lamps anywhere else.
