It’s a Guitar Center, so not many surprises, and that’s a good thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful, above average for Guitar Center, which is pretty darn good. The general manager, Nick, is super and has been super supportive over the past four years.

I bought several cymbals from these crooks, the sold me an extended warranty. They explained that the manufacturer would take care of anything the first year and that the warranty would kick in afterward. Well I contacted these folks to take care of a crack in a Paiste 2002 20" crash, was declined by the warranty company and they would not help me out. My 36 month extended runs out in June 22. They had told me that if i cracked a cymbal within the 36 months all i had to do was call the company and they would have me send them the cymbal and they would send me a reimbursement check to replace the cymbal on my own. They lied and sold me 3 of these extended coverages. I will never do business with these crooks again.

I am a fairly new customer to the Guitar Center in South Portland, ME. A couple of months ago, I purchased my 13 year old son a right handed guitar only to discover later, after taking lessons there, that a left handed one was a better fit. We needed to exchange the guitar. At first the process was frustrating, in part because I do not know much about guitars. I reached out to Nick McIntyre, the General Manager to seek his advice on my situation. He was amazing! He took the time to walk me through my options. He provided invaluable guidance which set me at ease. I walked in frustrated and confused but walked out with a new left handed guitar on order and felt confident about my decision. It was hands down the best customer service experience I have ever had. Thank you so much Nick!

I love the relaxed atmosphere in here. They give you a chance to pick stuff up and try it out. It’s always a nice place to visit!

When I was in store last weekend, I observed free masks at the door along with a sanitization station. Everyone was masked and there were several areas with hand sanitizer available. When using guitars you're asked to be picky about how many you try and to put them back on the rack backwards so they know to wipe them down before others try the instrument. Overall Guitar Center has done a great job with safety practices.

Accordion connection in Gilmanton, NH is about the closest place to do repairs near..ish to Portland, but it's 2.5 hours from away next is shop Amherst, MA. The guy in gilmanton is very well known and very good.
Yeah they do but your gear is bought used in the trade and they will pay you about 50% of the guitars value. If you can sell privately I'd suggest that but if you're in a bind GC is a fast trade.
Depending on what type of keyboard you're looking for anywhere from 200 all the way up to $4,000 and up
Yes but not good ones
