We discovered Renys only last year. Now on our yearly visits to Maine is a go-to. In fact we went twice in June and bought wonderful gifts and clothes for us. The staff is so helpful and nice. A win-win every time !

There is nothing more Maine than this store which harks back to the general stores in the countryside that have a little of everything you might need. Stuff is inexpensive, not cheap. Clothing for sale is dictated by weather and the realities of life in Maine, not fashion. Carhart work gear, turtlenecks, winter boots, cast iron cookware, canned goods, rugs, towels, kids clothes and lamps, to name just a few. The only things missing are two old guys in the back wearing overalls playing checkers by the wood stove.

Whenever my family comes to Maine we have to stop here (or at one of their other locations) Great selection of winter clothes and flannel shirts. Surprisingly good toy section for the kids, lots of other random interesting products too. I always spend a long time (and a lot of money) here, wish there was something like Reny’s in Massachusetts, we have Ocean State Job Lot but it really can’t compete.

Renys sells yarn and they have a lot. If you don't see what you want they can special order it from the warehouse or other stores

The store has 2 entrances, Congress street and Free Street. I suggest trying Free Street to find street parking however the Maine Mariners play tonight so it will be tough parking downtown. Hope that helps.

They have a good housewares and storage organizer section. I'm sure you find something that will meet your needs.
Yes they do, they sell mens and kids also. They have lots of different colors, materials, sizes and brands. They even carry bear paw and columbia brands
Call & check as they may chose to have employees stay safe @ home due to the storm.
