aside from the well-stocked store, relaxed environment, and helpful employees, it was really nice to walk in this morning and the first five employees (well-staffed store!) I see are women! as a young woman it's easy for me to feel out of place or not taken seriously at a hardware store, so I really appreciate the representation in your staff. :)

When we first moved in, my neighbor told me that this ACE was her favorite thing about the neighborhood. That didn’t make sense then, but it sure does now. Expert staff, great inventory, and a relaxed atmosphere. This is an amazing local hardware store and an anchor of the St Johns community. I also appreciate that they allow my well-behaved dog to accompany me through the store.

Was approached multiple times by employees and was stalked throughout the entire store. Felt incredibly uncomfortable. I dont think it was a race issue but the fact my clothes were dirty from work and was probably confused for a homeless guy. Still not cool.

The staff remind me of the old days when there were friendly and helpful people at hardware stores. I was helped by a young (maybe LatinX or Hispanic) guy and another 30ish friendly (White) “dude” with a beard or mustache. Sorry for the explicit depiction but I don’t remember their names and want to give them credit. I was equally impressed by both guy’s desire to help me find the right grill for me. They looked at their inventory, went to the back of the store to check and get me sizes. And they even took it partly apart and helped me get it in my car. I am happy with my purchase, and not just because the grill works great, but because those two guys really honored my business and treated me like a customer should be treated; with respect, attention and eagerness. Job well done. 5 stars truly earned.
