Terrible maintenance and poor ccommunication. Took months to get our AC working again. Haven't been able to use a bathtub in SIX months cause they keep forgetting to come reglaze tub after they screwed it up to begin with while fixing the faucet. Completely incompetent

I’ve been living in Carlton Apartments for about a year now and I have no mold or mildew in my apartment. I had a little problem about bug infestation but just bought some raid bug spray and that’s all no need to call pest control. over the past months I’ve seen some really unsafe things happening in the apartments. A house caught on fire and I researched the news and only 1 person passed away from the house fire. (they have rebuilt the apartments that caught on fire though) I’ve heard many stories about burglaries happening in these apartments although I never had a problem with that (just stating information) my house started having problems especially in the bathroom there was a massive leak and I know they have low people on maintenance that’s why there’s a “hiring maintenance” or “maintenance needed” in front of the apartments so I understand. I think the maintenance that came to fix the leaks in my apartments were horribly trained because they made my bathroom worse. They couldn’t find the leaking source so they cut off almost all the ceiling in the bathroom. Also after they finished “fixing” the bathroom they always had to come back the next week after that and they would leave messes I would have to clean. Irritating but it’s better than having to pay for a maintenance when you buy a house. Everything In the house so far is alright now and it is currently summer while I’m typing this review and the pool is open. The pool is very safe and has floaties and floating objects for kids so they can enjoy the fun without having to swim. No lifeguard on duty but almost every apartment doesn’t have a lifeguard. They do have first aid kits hanging in the fence close to the pool entrance. (you need to pick up a pool pass from office) my pool pass was a bracelet. The indoor gym I haven’t seen it or I can’t find it but they do claim to have a fitness center in the clubhouse. they have a tennis court close to the clubhouse as well. these apartments have a good amount of speed bumps to insure safety when the cars are coming through the apartment complex. These apartments have good views and I live close to a lake. I can open my porch and look at the lovely lake views. Carlton apartments allow pets but you need to also pay for them to be living there too. If you are planning of living here and have kids the district is Pike and from my experience that district is very horrible. Non educated kids and poorly disciplined kids. Bullying also exists so be careful parents and check up on your kids if you live here. Only 2 dumpsters in the whole complex and sometimes these dumpsters get overflown and trash gets left everywhere. The trash close to the clubhouse sometimes has mechanical problems since it is a mechanical dumpster that crushed your trash when you close the door. These apartments were too much for one bedroom lease. I’ve had cheaper and better leases in the past but I’m leaving once this lease ends I can’t call off work because of the rent and bill prices and my neighbors get really loud and I can hear them screaming and arguing every day and every night. They smoke weed and leave cigarettes in my porch because they live upstairs and sometimes when you enter the apartments it smells like weed and you have to inhale those nasty gases. But this isn’t really the apartments fault so, Overall these apartments are Okay.

Horrible Assistant Manager. Mold and mildew everywhere Do not move here... we had mice and spiders 🕷 in our apartment. Bullet casings on our steps. Slow maintenance

Really poor communication. Had maintenance come in December 1st to fix the faucet as it was running water even though we turned them off. He said there was a water bubble under the paint and popped it. Left me no instructions or anything saying he'll come back to fix or have someone come to fix it- NOTHING. So I waited until about mid December until I called about it, was told they'd look into it and never heard back. January 8th I finally put in a work order because I had no idea what else to do and get a call from the office who FINALLY told me that I have to fill out a form to have my tub reglazed. They explained they were previously not offering this and just started again and maintenance was probably not aware (how?). We agreed to have it done today January 21st and I was told our pet couldn't be here. I used up PTO hours from my job to take my cat somewhere to wait for maintenance to finish their job. I come back 9 hours later and NOTHING was done. BEYOND frustrated
