Sharon is great she was super helpful with any questions I had and is always in the office when I needed her to be. The maintenance crew is always there when you have an issue in your apartment and are very polite when entering your unit. No complaints here at mountain life!

Spent a week detail cleaning my apartment before moving out. Left it spotless with no damage. Mountain Vista refused to do a walkthrough with me and then kept my entire security deposit. Incredibly shady of them, and even more heartless to do during the pandemic. My advice would be don't move here, and if you've already made that mistake, don't bother cleaning on your way out.

Wow, where to start. I'd give it zero stars but Google won't allow that. I assure you that you are better off renting at ANY apartment in Denver other than Mountain Vista. The tenants are loud, rude and often have TV blaring or loud conversations at 3 in the morning. The apartments are old, run down and have bad wiring which will likely result in your heat or A/C not working during your lease (none of these issues are due to the maintenance staff who was very helpful and friendly). I reluctantly signed a lease in which I payed close to $1400 per month due to short term. That was fine, however I quickly found out that my utilities cost an extra $100 to $200 on top of the rent. They actually charge you two electric bills, one through the portal and another through Excel energy. Tenants are on the hook for paying electric for all of the exterior lights on the property and office and any other thing they feel like charging you. At the end of the lease, they did not allow me to go month to month, which was assumed to be possible because it seemed to be spelled out in the lease. Upon leaving, my security deposit of $300 was taken and I was charged an additional $240+ for cleaning, damage and 'month to month' fee... Yea... The apartment was clean, and did not have damage but this is how people are treated at Mountain Vista. The final bill that I received in the mail threatened being sent to collections if I didn't pay. I then received a call from management threatening to send to collections after only a week. Trust that I am not exaggerating any of these facts. I never leave reviews online but I felt compelled to leave one on this occasion.

Such a disappointment. These apartments are just as expensive as apartments downtown/newer apartments. I have had multiple things break in only 4 months of living here and it seems like I have to make a maintenance call weekly. Every month my rent is more expensive and I don’t understand why and is about $200+ more a month than my base rent. It took them over a month to give me a new AC because when I moved in it was already broken and my dog and I had to live in an apartment that was 90 degrees. Their “rules” don’t make sense. There was a homeless man living in the laundry room for over a month and nothing was done. The pool finally opens months after promised and after everyone else I knows pool has been open for a month and they make you sign up 24 hours in advance, you can only go for 2 hours/2x a week and my sister was visiting from out of town and they said she was not allowed to accompany me even tho when I signed up, I signed up for 2 people and the pool was completely empty. They don’t even discuss when the gym will be open. Every time you open your window it reeks of cigarettes and there are cigarette butts all over the property. HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE MOVING HERE. I have never seen such a high turn over rate for an apartment complex in my life. I would just like to add that the maintenance staff is the only positive experience I’ve had while living here. Super efficient and friendly.

Questions & Answers

I’ve found four roaches and three flying ants (Excluding the hundreds that are dead due to crawling through the gap in my exteriordoor.) Within the first week and three days of being here. Suggestions, besides moving out?

Let the management know, I got a similar situation early summer and they came and put some chemicals for roaches and other bugs.
