This is the best veterinarian group in the world! The Doctors are caring and listen to your concerns and offer varied suggestions for treatment. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can tell they love animals. We have been coming here for over 20 years; they include 3 dogs and 3 cats over the years. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

The whole staff is great to work with. I have been going here for over 15 years. The doctors are wonderful and explain everything to you. The staff always does their best to get you an appointment. You receive call backs on the day you call. Dr Armstrong is very caring and gentle with your pets. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Wonderful office staff, every single person I've come in contact with here has been fabulous. My puppy adores everyone and enjoys each visit. Dr. DeNitto has been fantastic and Apollo has grown happily and healthy under her care. She's very direct, honest and takes things seriously, but without any unnecessary worry for us. I am extremely happy and definitely recommend their practice to anyone searching for a new vet.

We love Dr Weiner, our vet techs Chelsea and Jo-Mar, and all of the front staff that take my incessant phone calls! I honestly don’t know why anyone would go to any other office besides here and the cat doctors. They keep my kiddos healthy and happy. Thank you!!!!!!! <3

I was wondering how much a check-up for a medium-sized bird would be and the check up cost for a macaw would be

Bilkis Khatun | Aug 15, 2021
Temple Terrace Animal Hospital | Aug 15, 2021

Hi, Bilkis! Our examination fee with one of our avian doctors is $65. After the physical exam, the doctor would give you a full treatment plan with a breakdown in cost with any further recommendations. Please give us a call if you'd like to schedule! -Melissa, Hospital Manager

I was thinking of getting a bird and I wanted to know how much a check-up for a medium sized bird, like a Quaker, would be and how much a check up for a macaw would be. And how often do I need to get them checked up in a year?

Nabeeha Maryam | Aug 15, 2021
Temple Terrace Animal Hospital | Aug 15, 2021

Hi Nabeeha! We recommend examinations on all pets at least once per year, ideally every 6 months. Our pets age much faster than we do, so visits every 6 months help us keep them health to live a long, happy life. The cost for an examination with one of our avian veterinarians is $65 and they will give you a treatment plan with a cost breakdown for any other recommendations they may have. Please give us a call if you have any other questions or would like to schedule an appointment at 813-988-1189. Thank you for your questions! Melissa, Hospital Manager

Temple Terrace Animal Hospital | Aug 15, 2021

Hi, Terry! Unfortunately, we typically do not board exotic pets anymore at Temple Terrace Animal Hospital as we do not have the appropriate space to do so. It appears there are several options in the area that provide "avian boarding" when searched. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help! Melissa, Hospital Manager

How much is an initial visit for a shih tzu? He's 1 year 8 months old. I've tried everything for a flea and skin problem. Makes me sad to see him this way.

Anparo Hernandez | Aug 16, 2019
Rhonda Snider | Aug 16, 2019

Whatever remedy the vets at this office recommend, believe me when I say, you are in good hands. This place is really great. I am not exactly sure about the initial cost but the Trifexis is the only medication that we have found that works on the FL fleas!! They are a hardy breed. We have a Shih Tzu mix and are from up North. When we first moved here, our poor baby was miserable. We could use OTC meds back home but a vet informed us that the fleas in FL are much too strong for those meds most of the time.
