My husband and I stumbled upon Frick Park and the Cafe last spring after doing some nearby shopping. We were blown away by everything Frick especially the Cafe. So cozy and pleasant, with lovely surroundings, and excellent coffee. We are from Buffalo NY visiting our dear friends and knew that upon our next visit, the Cafe would be at the top of our to do list. I returned recently with a dear friend from India and of course coffee and lunch at Frick Park Cafe was top of the list. As always, the surroundings inside and outside are brilliant. We ordered coffee and lunch. While we enjoyed both, I feel some suggestions regarding the ham and cheese sandwich would be helpful. It was quite a large sandwich on a rather small plate. Not the best presentation and difficult to manage. In addition, the sandwich was without any side dishes. My suggestion is to offer a tea sandwich instead and then include a side of salad and fruit. That just seems to fit the vibe of the Cafe and give a more complete meal. Frick Park is a lovely area and I look forward to my next visit.

The food was good, the staff was nice and the place was clean and offers outdoor dining. It seems like it's more for grown ups than for children. Relaxing

I came here every few days for food and mimosas. One time I truly paid attention to my food, the cheese had black fibers on it. I really like the place so I contemplated saying anything at all. But for the price, I didn’t want to waste the sandwich. I showed it to the girl and she looked at me like I had six heads. Then a man walks out from the back and I tell him I just wanted new cheese. Maybe this one was sitting out or something. There was clearly fibers on several pieces of cheese. He tells me they just sliced the cheese fresh. Therefore the slicer isn’t clean. Only logical explanation. They weren’t even sorry. They just stared at me until I walked away. I won’t be coming back. Check yo’ cheese 🫣

Members may make a reservation in advance. Non-members may only make reservations the same day.
The Cafe @ The Frick is currently closed. All updates will be posted at TheFrickPittsburgh.org
Looks like tea is served Saturday and Sunday 2-4pm.
Having a membership to The Frick will allow you to make advanced reservations. Non-members can call early in the day to make same day reservations. There are select outside umbrella tables that are first come, first serve do you can usually get in pretty easily if it isn't raining
If you want to go to the cafe, nonmembers may call on the morning of the visit to make reservations. If you're flexible about time there's a good chance of you getting to go to the cafe.
Members can reserve by phone the day before, but nonmembers should phone the day they want to make a reservation.
Brian is correct, we offer high tea on the weekends from 2pm- 4pm.
