The hotel is older and rooms reflect that – but it was clean. The bar is fun and lively with a lot of locals. Did not eat in here, but the food we saw looked really good. You can’t beat the location – right there in the thick of the downtown!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Northampton in the Gothic Garden Suite for our wedding weekend. We really enjoyed our spacious room especially for having our brides and groomsmen over prior to the wedding. Hotel Northampton was great to work with during our planning process to block hotel rooms for our guests as well as hand out gift bags when our guests arrived. Additionally, Hotel Northampton is located in the heart of Northampton which made it very easy to walk to nearby restaurants/stores. We highly recommend a stay at this wonderful hotel and could not have asked for a better wedding weekend accommodation!

We love Hotel Northampton and usually go every year. It's a beautiful, historic hotel and the perfect location to visit all the neat places in Northampton. We never use our car once we check in. We were disappointed that Wiggins Tavern wasn't open (only open for Sunday brunch) and they no longer offer a continental breakfast.

The building itself is cool but you're pretty much paying for that. There's no free breakfast. There's no really free anything. You just pay a lot of money to stay there and then go and spend money other places. Rooms are awesome but you know down the street you can get a place with bedrooms and awesome free breakfast and yeah you go there.
