Helpful staff and a clean store that's packed with a decent mix of products; it did feel a little bit small as far as store size and selection goes and there were quite a few things (particularly shades for skin coverage) that were out of stock. Thankfully I wasn't looking for anything super specific, so it worked out, but if you are definitely check the website first. The folks here were so nice and helpful though, and encouraged me to poke through the clearance section + made a recommendation on the stranger things palette that is def my new favorite thing. Will be back for sure! :) PS big shout out to the staff member with the half lavender hair - I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you were great! <3

Sometimes they are friendly, but when I'm looking for assistance, I can never find a clerk. Pretty good store though, clean and nice.

I went in for a blowout service and deep conditioning - the stylist was incredibly sweet but it was one of the strangest techniques for a blow out. She blow dried my hair pin straight then went back over it with a curling iron to get the effect that she could have just gotten with a just a blow dry - ultimately creating extra damage. Just strange...

So I went into Ulta Beauty for the first and last time on Wednesday 11/21/21. I had received a recommendation from someone because I'd been having problems with cystic acne that won't seem to go away. I had done some online searching but wasn't feeling very confident about what to buy. And I was told that Ulta tended to have a very knowledgeable staff but very high prices. And I was willing to pay a little extra for good advice. The minute I walk into the store one employee starts walking toward me. Thinking this person is trying to help I walk toward her and say "hey I'm having some problems with my skin and I'm not sure what to buy". She looks at me shocked ... I get the feeling this person had no intentions of helping and thought I was a thief or something. I work in a cold storage warehouse so I had a Carhart jacket sweats and beanie and I'm a 200lb man with a beard. Probably not the average looking customer. She asks me what I need and I start naming some of the things. She vaguely points down a couple aisles. Then mumbles she's got to finish something. I tell her I'll be at the shampoo thinking she'll come help when she's done. I'm looking at the over priced tea tree and waiting. After a few minutes I look back and realize she's not doing anything besides ignoring my presence. I walk passed her desk out of the store. No reason for me to buy these extremely expensive products when I dont know a damn thing about them. This was a terrible experience obviously. Just felt like a waste of my time. And no one enjoys being judged. Especially on such a blatantly prejudice way. So if there are any guys like me. 32 and needing to learn how to take care of their skin. Ulta doesn't want your kind.
