5 stars primarily for the nostalgia and general feel of this place. It's an old school theatre with charm and character, and well known in these parts. If you're looking or a blast from the past, friendly staff and good admission ticket prices this is you're kind of place. You can't go wrong here ime, but keep in mind there's limited street parking closeby.

Loved this theater! Atmosphere is perfect, it wasn't crowded at all, and I will definitely be back! The staff was super nice, and they offer beer on tap! Our go to movie theater of choice!

A theater that has been an iconic institution to the Greater Roanoke area for decades !!! In my youth in the summer, the Rocky Horror Picture show would play at Midnight and 2am on Fridays !!! Plus you could sit in the balcony back then too !! Love the addition of the local walk of Fame too !! After our date watching Cyrano Debergerac the other night, I'm just glad my wife and I can still go to a movie in such a great theater !! Staff was great !! We'll will go again !!

We just started going to Grandin Theatre for our movies, and I have no desire to switch back. The place is gorgeous and the staff super friendly. It doesn't have assigned seating, but it hasn't been crowded enough for it to matter much. And it's way cleaner than the other local options.
