SSC drivers have always been very pleasant and professional. SSC seems to suffer from a lack of leadership however. For example, recently my recycling pickup was missed. I called the next week and was told it would be picked up the next day. It wasn't. When I called back they had "no record" of any call or scheduling, but told me it would be picked up the next day. Again, it wasn't. Third time I called again they had "no record" of any call and said, "oh well, your scheduled day is coming up, we will pick it up then", absolving themselves of any action whatsoever and ignoring their broken promises. It's hard to know from my end whether the corporate culture is to just promise the customer anything to get them off the phone, or whether their IT system is so outdated they really have no idea who said what when and their apparent inability to keep promises and follow through can be explained by gross incompetence. Either way it signals that SSC's leadership does not actually value customer service, integrity or responsibility.

Superb Customer Service!! I had a small issue and when I called I was pretty upset (and was expressing my anger a bit freely). The customer service rep who helped me was calm and patient, and "talked me down" - and then explained how she would resolve the problem, no hassle at all. Truly wonderful service - to call angry and hang up happy!

I've been using SSC for the past 8 years. The office staff are professional and friendly. Their garbage and recycling collectors are hard working and reliable. When I'm not home on my garbage day, all it takes is a phone call. They can reschedule it for the next time the truck comes back into the neighborhood, which is usually the following week. It's free, and they are happy to make such an arrangement. I'm sorry if you had issues with SCC, but my experience with them has been great. Thanks!

Horrible prices, horrible service. I understand a delay from the recent snow closing lots of stuff down for a few days, but it has been A MONTH since our garbage has been picked up. No bill reduction and the only solution they can offer for everyone affected by this is “you can bring it to us”.

They rather you -call the office to tell you to pay your bill! --instead of just picking it up.... cause they like to leaave it for the rats and raccoons, for a couple more weeks a stink------INSTEAD OF: Empting the garbage then, putting on a piece of tape that says hey ---- rat dog, pay your bill! And tape their lid shut.

No. They like customers to bag their garbage, but they require it be placed in an approved container for pickup. I've found them willing to take "extra" garbage left next to or on top of an approved container (for an additional fee) if it's bagged in a heavy duty bag.
