If you go down the road a little more there's a lot that has room. Or go back towards Matson and you'll see tons of room on the side of the road. As long as you're not blocking actual road you can park anywhere in the Port area and it's safe. This is a trucker neighborhood all over. The roads are even safer than the truck stop which has quite the "characters," come through.
