Quest Diagnostics Granby - Employer Drug Testing Not Offered

My daughter fainted during a blood draw at the Quest in Granby. This has happened before when she got some vaccines, but I just didn't expect it. The two women working were very good. The woman recognized that she was about to faint before she did and another woman come in quickly with an ice pack. They told me what I needed to get for her to help her recover and we moved her to another room after the color came back to her face to make sure she was ok before we left. I appreciated the quick action taken by them.

No complaints, made an appointment online and checked in the kiosk and barely had any wait at all. It was super quick and would return again to this location (and will have to) in the future.

The wait is always long, the staff unfriendly and unhelpful. I have to have my blood drawn every 3 months and I live minutes away from this location. The last time I went, I was told to go to another location. The phlebotomist was rough and rude. I will NEVER go to a Quest if I can at all avoid it. To be told not to come back because I voiced my discomfort at being stuck multiple times is horrible. If you have needle phobias, this is not the place for you. Quest is a huge corporation that is all about the money. People don't matter, just the bottom line.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made an appointment and arrived on time. In fact I arrived early. I have type one diabetes for 32 years, and need to have my A-1 C taken every three months. Once they got me in the room and I rolled up my sleeves to have my blood drawn, I was told that I owe them $22 and change. I explained that I put my check in the mail the day before on Friday when I do my bills. I was told they could not draw my blood unless I paid them right there on the spot. I said I paid it it’s in the mail I can’t believe you’re not gonna take my blood. But sure enough they didn’t take me. As a result I had to cancel my appointment with my eldest endocrinologist for this coming TuesdayBecause they would be no blood test for him to review in order to treat me and adjust my insulin. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with a healthcare provider in my entire life. I will never go back to quest labs for anything.
