Amazing hike that is a short distance from Portland. If you like a semi short easy hiking experience this trail is it! With breathtaking views and things to learn about the local ecology, this trail is in my top 10 for the Portland area. Come out and learn and experience cleansing for the body and soul!

Wildwood Trail is a 29.5 mile heavily trafficked point-to-point trail located near Portland, Oregon that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking, running, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash. The trail starts next to the Pay to Park Station to the right of the entrance. Be sure to hike this trail south to north because parts of the Wildwood trail are part of one-way loops that only allow traffic going northbound. Dog on leash, Hiking, Nature trips, Bird watching, Running, Forest, Views, Wildflowers, Wildlife.

The gateway into adventure. This trail is well traveled. As such, it is pretty well hardened. It can get muddy in spots during and after a rainstorm. This trail offers a somewhat hidden away retreat from the bustle of city life. Still, I can make out some of the industrial area through the thicket of branches. The crowds during the weekends tend to make parking and the trails crowded. Still, it is a nice experience to see some birds or that banana slug racing across trail.

Questions & Answers

Could I take a sport stroller on this Trail? It has dirt bike tires so mud and gravel is not an issue, but I am not sure if there is logs over the trail roots or other Terrain it juicy

You probably could pull it off. But I would suggest. Visiting the trails before hand though. The trails can vary in a very big way. One could have skinny trail or another to steep. I have been only on 2 trails or 3 with the ability to bring a stroller. ( even a sports. ) ( test the trails first... but yes a few you could. ) almost all the trails are worth it though.

How is Parking?

There's a small parking lot on the main road. The times I went about a year ago it was easy to find a spot. People are always leaving ;)
