Big Oak more like Big Joke Construction Yard. Loud music and constant hammering as the workers throw everything from boards with nails to spent tubes of caulk into the river. They can't seem to keep their foam insulation and flotation from blowing away in the river. In the last few months, two of the houses being built have broken free and crushed boats in Big Joke and neighboring marina. Barges bringing in logs for construction have crashed into other boats, none of the owners have been compensated and no one is taking responsibility.
