Mixing housing for the homeless and commercial lodging just isn't a good business plan. Half of the rooms here are leased to the city. The first sign that you should be running away from this place is finding the lobby door locked and a "security" person telling you he'll call the manager to come check you in. Some half-hearted attempts at renovations on the commercial side are taking place, and our room was reasonably clean, but that's about all I can say on the good part. After dark, you look out your window and feel like you're witnessing a scene from the Walking Dead. We din't have any problems, but any sense of security here is non-existant. There's much better in Rutland. I recommend you try them.

When I showed up, I was informed that the pipes had burst in the room I had reserved. I was brought to the room to confirm, then showed the replacement. No windows, dark, beds that were literally sideways. I walked back to car and looked to see if any alternate hotels. Nothing within 70 miles. Took keys. I understand that they were sold out, but sometimes you contact your locals and pay for their hotel when yours is unacceptable. They did not do this. Sleeping in pitch black, no windows in an uncomfortable bed was not great. Next morning off to ski. Come back, beds unmade. Floor still filthy. They left towels. Not even an attempt to clean up. They actually charged me. I will never stay in this hotel, and have already told complete strangers not to. I stay in over 100 hotel nights a year. Never have I ever said not to stay in a hotel.

The beds were comfortable making for a wonderful night's sleep. The employees were responsive and helpful. When the outlets didn't work, they came and worked until power was restored to them. Will gladly stay at this hotel again since it had everything we needed for an affordable rate.

I rarely write reviews. I gave them 4 stars not because the room was spotless, had minor stuff that had to be fixed, and no microwave, not enough towels, didn’t vacuum during my 3 day stay there. But owners were super nice, great customer service, opened the breakfast room for me and my kids even after breakfast hours, helped me with preparing the breakfast while I had to take an important phone call. Internet was free, and the king bed (Beautyrest) was the most comfortable bed ever. My 4-year old left the door of the rental car wide open, and the next morning when I noticed, I freaked out. Nothing was missing, tablets were still in car, as well as my wallet. Super safe. Great location! Again, not just cleanliness but other things matter too!
