I like it because you can walk in and grab gear you want the same day if its in stock. I have been going to Guitar Center for over two decades for various gear. They will price match any competitors prices. I bought a M Audio oxygen pro 49 midi controller and tried it out for a few weeks. It wasn't syncing up with my DAW the way I wanted and I brought it back with no hassles. Big PLUS!! They will have things on hand that you need. Its a mixed staff. Some are quite knowledgeable about the gear and some are just there to ring you up. Hit or miss or any given day. Do your research before you go. I would like to see more MIDI controller setups with the leading computer based DAWS so you can try them out in store as well as standalone music production hardware setups. I have been to other Guitar Centers that had the popular music production setups and it was very helpful to get some hands on with the gear first before a purchase. If they made sure to get this in play I would definitely rate at 5 stars. It would be better than going online and waiting to try something out and it not be your cup of tea and having to ship it back and wait for the refund. I will continue to shop there however. They also have musix lessons available there for certain instruments that is not such a bad price.

Great experience! The employees here are always happy to help. A big shout out to Austin, who went the extra mile in several respects to help my son buy his first and long-awaited electric guitar. Guitar Center has earned our loyalty.

The store is so worried someone will steal a guitar they put every guitar that anyone would want to play high on the wall under lock and key. Horrible business practice. The last three times I wanted to play ⏯️ something I could not find a free employee. The people at Reverb have to be happy as clams. GC should put cameras in the room and have one employee monitor cameras and allow the 99pct of customers who are not there to steal to access and play the guitars. GC used to be a better place to shop. Sad.

Had a real pleasant experience here at the guitar center. Staff was very friendly and highly knowledgeable on just the vast different brands of instruments. Will be a returning customer for sure. Thanks guys.

I am a percussion guy. I play drums and keys. If I was going to spend substantial funds on musical equipment I would play it first. Especially cymbals for drums. Acoustic pianos are especially critical as they are unique to the environment they were built, including type of lumber used in the frame and hardware, age, where assembled.
Select strings are included and it's while you wait.
They do sell violin strings, unsure if they install them though, I'm sure they would as they install strings for other instruments.
They have Yamaha mixing boards! I don't know about the wireless mics however!
People touching instruments its pandamonium ... Cashiers and Customers wear masks everything is great..... Focus on the music not Covid..
Am not too sure if they repair it themselves (staff) because it does requires a specialist depending on what you're trying to get done. But I'm sure they can direct you to a 3rd party who can help if they cannot. Bass typically has 4 (big) strings. Regular acoustic can have up to 6 or 12. Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.
The one we picked up Sept/Oct of 2017 did. 🤗
