Finding and buying a property in the Seattle market where supply is limited and demand is sky high was not an easy task, especially for first-time homebuyers such as us. We were glad and very thankful that we were introduced to Jonathan Castro at Coldwell Bain who was instrumental in helping us navigate and close on our new construction townhouse in this challenging real estate market. As someone who migrated to Seattle with a toddler, we were not familiar with the area’s neighborhoods. Jonathan provided us a recommended list of areas to explore that may fit our list of highly specific needs and wants. He patiently gave us a tour of the different properties that we were interested in and gave us insightful tips on the pros and cons of each. He became a trusted friend and advisor who wanted his clients to find the right home that fits our lifestyle and budget. Jonathan professionally negotiated, advocated, and spoke on our behalf during the negotiations, multiple visits, and inspections with the Seller of our new construction townhouse. His attention to detail helped us identify and highlight areas in our property that required to be fixed before closing. He was also honest and practical with his recommendations and always thought about what was best for his clients. Overall, we were very lucky and thankful that Jonathan represented us throughout the buying process. We are truly happy with our experience and we look forward to working with Jonathan again for future real estate deals!

Our Broker, Cyrus Fiene, provided an outstanding level of service. This was our first time navigating the real estate market in the US so Cyrus started out by walking us through the process step by step. He spoke to us in terms we could understand, simplifying and demystifying what had at first seemed so complicated. When it came to viewing properties Cyrus was there for us when we needed him, and we quickly learned the value in this level of responsiveness in such a fast moving market. He helped us to constantly re-calibrate our likes, dislikes and expectations, enabling us to hone in on the right properties for us. When it came to submitting offers, Cyrus coached us so well, helping us to make the right decisions at the right moments and understand which strategy was right for the given situation. His offer writing skills are quite remarkable - he's able to write and submit an offer with faultless accuracy while other Brokers and their clients are still on page one - so we always felt like we were at an advantage. Most importantly of all, he helped us to find a house we love, in which we are already settled and happy. Thanks Cyrus and Coldwell Banker Bain. You were with us every step of the way on this journey and you got us to where we needed to be - home!

The management was very helpful initially when we were about to put an offer. Unfortunately, the management does not respond to our inquiry when we were unhappy and has issue with our broker, Jonathan Castro. They simply ignored our emails. I believe that in service industry, you are judged based on your response when things goes wrong. Unfortunately, Coldwell Banker Bain of Mercer Island fails to do that. EDIT: I was not unhappy that we were not able to close. I am unhappy with the way your broker treat us and when I complained to management, the management does NOT respond to our inquiry. Two simple examples: 1. We asked for front load washer and dryer. The seller contacted us ask us to acknowledge white color W&D. We request Jonathan to ask the seller if they are willing to change W&D to stainless color. He said "you request for front loaded one, seller already provide one" instead of trying to ask the seller. 2. We had a complicated financing. We were working with seller's preferred lender (Jay) who told us that he requested to extend the non-refundable EM period for us and the seller has agreed verbally. So when I ask Jonathan to draft the paperwork for us to have the paper trail, he said "I don't know that Jay is my client too." This is our request to have paperwork, Jay could care less. Regardless of the scenario, "I don't know Jay is my client too" is NOT an acceptable response. Matter of fact, I wrote TWO emails to the management of my dissatisfaction with his service. Can you tell me why management never even respond to my email? Why does the management choose to respond to review and not to my initial complaint?

We were VERY impressed with our realtor Pam Richmond. She was professional, competent, thorough, detailed-oriented, considerate, and took care of us every step of the way during our home-buying process. We couldn't recommend Pam enough. She made purchasing our home an easier experience. She took the time to explain every step to us without ever talking down to us, only educating us so we felt comfortable with all our decisions. She took the time to check in with us numerous times AFTER the home purchase, after I think her job was completely done, but she is so great she kept looking in on us anyway! We think Pam is the greatest realtor and we think Coldwell Banker should give her a large promotion and a large raise!
