Another outpost of the beloved local chain, kept alive for decades by Dueling cousins. (Kaspar's vs Caspar's), which holds true to the original style and quality of their founders. Sometimes, a Caspar's (Kaspar's) dog, a diet coke, and a bag of chips, are all I need for relief from hard day, or even a gourmet-weary palate. And as usual, the staff are really nice. This is old School California. Get it while you still can!

The dogs were good and the server was great. There was only one lady on duty and she was extremely busy but she was efficient and courteous. Also, she was very attentive to sanitary hygiene. It was awesome to watch her change her gloves after each money transaction.

Casper's Hot Dogs is a classic. The C Street location is a nice place to pick up some hot dogs and walk across the street and enjoy them in the park that used to be the Hayward Library. Super nice workers and great classic food.

I was just there a few days ago. Only one person allowed inside at a time to order the food and take it out. A line is formed outside the entrance to wait for your turn. To order the food. They are doing their part for helping the stop of the spread of the virus while continuing business.
