I moved back and found my favorite Chinese place (BINGS)was closed so decided to try Zhens. First time, 2 months ago, thought cook was having a bad night. Tonight (SUNDAY 8/7) I tried Chicken sub gum/BBQ pork/Egg foo yung????YUK. I don't know? NO egg NO bean sprouts, just a bread dressing and rice made into a round patty, that was over cooked. Prices go up. We haven't seen nothing yet, as far as price increases. BUT PLEASE keep the quality of the food you serve up. Don't skimp or take short cuts.

I’ve been ordering takeout from Zhen’s for about 3 years, always the exact same dish, not always consistent but good. The price has increased at least $4 since I started, and the last time I picked up my order, not only was the price higher but I swear the box was smaller. I know I was not imagining it. My mom noticed it also. We used to be able to share perfectly fine and this time it was definitely less. If we didn’t share, I had enough for leftovers which justified the high price but not anymore. Of course the restaurant employees made no mention of the smaller container, and I don’t blame them. They skimp on rice, which is weird because usually they want to fill people up on it. It’s usually slightly dry. Generic soy sauce now. Pinching those pennies is important, and believe me, I understand how expensive things have been but the price started going crazy before inflation did. There used to be a rude girl who took orders on the phone and she actually hung up on me once. I picked up my order and she acted saccharine sweet when she realized it was me. I told the male manager she should not be answering phones with her customer service skills. I rarely order there now, which might be why the prices increase so much every time I do.

Where to start? I've been ordering from here since 2020, many many times. The employees are very nice and food is usually ready for pick up in about 25 minutes. However, the quality of this food is very poor. They skimp at every turn, napkins, utensils, sauce, soy, mustard; frustrating when we order a lot and get none of the sauces we requested or they give one for a meal for 8. If you order the combos meals they come disorganized in a bunch of small containers and we can't find our combo orders. Its messy. The taste of egg fu young is disgusting! Worse thing I have ever tried on their menu to date. Quality of food is even worse this year for example VERY dried fried anything; chicken, beef, and shrimp all where overcooked or refried and hard to bite into the crust and meats. Only thing any of us liked was the soup. I'm done hoping for good Chinese food from here. I give up!

Ugh where to begin. IDK what this is but that's not chow mein. The egg foo yung is lacking in egg seems to be held together by breading or something. IDK what they did to the egg roll...they look deep fried from a carnival. The crab cream cheese puffs while ok had no flavor of crab to discern. Both almond fried chicken and sweet and sour chicken super dried out. Very dissatisfied and disappointed, will not be going back. ....oh and the sauce .....like what is going on here
