I returned a small trailer here and was hit with some extra fees I feel are unreasonable. I rented a trailer in Bremerton to pick up some furniture from a friend. Turns out, it wasn’t a good fit from my home. So I took the empty and never touched small cargo trailer to this facility as the drop off facility. I was hit with a 20 dollar after hours fee because I didn’t park it how they wanted. I don’t mind that so much even though I believe it was reasonable to park the trailer in line with the other trailer at the office. Apparently the facility is larger than it appears. The crux of my disappointment is getting hit with a 15 dollar cleaning fee. The trailer was picked up in a reasonably clean if well worn condition. It was never touched and was even given a once over when dropped off. It was perfectly adequate even if I wouldn’t be dining off the floors. When I stopped by to discuss this with the office, the gentlemen on site was extremely adversarial. Downright rude even. At first, he had a hard time articulating what was dirty about the trailer. After that, he began to claim there was dirt. He began to berate me for the way I parked and complain that he had to move the trailer. He quickly let me know that he was tired of talking with me and I could go to talk to whoever. After I left, both of the operators followed me to my car to continue the dispute. It was an unnecessary escalation and this conversation was not productive either. Eventually, I had to get in my car and get away from the very angry gentlemen before it got even more out of hand. I believe they are nickel and diming customers and don’t wish that on anyone else.

Made a reservation for next weekend, they call back and said they can accommodate that if we change our reservation or drive to sequim or port Townsend at $2 a mile... other than that we are SOL. MAYBE, not make a reservation or if you do, comp some miles?

Sherry was absolutely wonderful. I made my reservation using the U-Haul app and it defaulted to Auburn for pickup. When I called the Auburn U-Haul I was told this was normal for reservations and that I could expect a call Wednesday. No call. When I tried the main number Thursday I was told via a recording that they were busier than usual and then it kept disconnecting the call for me. There is absolutely no phone or text feature in the app. I gave up and called the Port Angeles U-Haul. Sherry made sure my reservation was confirmed, ensured that I had enough miles and answered all my questions. On the day of pickup she walked me through everything. The truck was clean and I had absolutely no issues with it. I would use this location again and recommend them.
