I wouldn’t trust the ER to handle a paper cut….it would probably get infected after waiting in the lobby for 3 days, they would do unnecessary test, like run a pregnancy test on woman that can’t have children anymore (so they can do a drug test) 🤫 Two times in 1991 they sent me home hemorrhaging, I was 8 1/2 pregnant, I really enjoyed the helicopter ride to Seattle. the only reason I’m still on this earth is because I went to a different hospital, so should you.

My husband went to the emergency room with a pre-existing condition and an inability to have a bowel movement. He consulted with his primary care physician who instructed him to go immediately to the emergency room at OMC. My husband sat in emergency room in extreme pain for six hours. It was only when we began to aggressively complain that they asked for a CT scan and surgery consult. They then rushed him into emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. The ER had no regard for his pain. The ER had no regard for his anguish. And I’m sad to say this is the second time the emergency room at Olympic Medical Center has failed this family. The surgeon did a fantastic job and was very communicative. The nurses on the second floor were gracious, loving and supportive to my husband. That is the only reason I’m giving a two star rating.

This emergency room is so backwards. They triage patients with an RN and then make patients wait in the waiting room while they run a battery of unnecessary tests. I truly believe that they do this so they can bill for the tests, all while an MD never sees the patient. I was suffering from shortness of breath, rapid heart rate, high blood pressure and dizziness and I waited 9 hours to see a dr. NINE hours. All while watching people with things like tooth aches and arm scrapes be taken back to see a Dr. I wish I could say this was my only negative experience but it isn’t. It’s pretty devastating because my family has medical issues and I’m very scared that the only thing this medical center actually cares about is money. I had two employees tell me that if I ever actually want to be seen quickly, I’m going to have to call 911. This hospital needs and overhaul! They get our tax dollars! The way they’re running that place can’t be legal!

Wen I first moved to Sequim several years ago I was concerned that there would not be adequate medical services due to the small size of the town. I started using the Olympic Medical Center upon moving to Sequim and have been receiving excellent service and support for several medical conditions ever since. The entire staff and facilities are excellent. I highly recommend the Olympic Medical Center.

you don’t want to work here Bruce trust me it’s not a good place to go.
A bit of an irrelevant, as you must schedule appointments for office visits and emergency is around the clock by definition Still, offices are 8AM to 5 PM
Yes! It gets very backed up sometimes but I always know why! Very often the staff have back to back true emergencies and priorities are first as it should be!
Hospital computers have been down since May 9,2022. Everything is backed up as far as service is concerned, as far as we could see. We checked in this morning around 10:30 a.m. still waiting to be seen, currently 4:05p.m. Pt. Had seizure around 10: 00 a.m.and will likely seize again without care.
They have a testing clinic @ the old Wells Fargo location I can't confirm that it's rapid or available in rapid @ this time
I actually still haven't managed to get that right yet. I know they email you s link and you have a limited window to use it
No they do not - source is an RN that works there
Lots of job openings

They except most supplemental plans
We got in within a couple months but we weren't in a hurry. We really liked Dr. Robert Henson. Very thorough and answered all our questions.
8am to 8 pm
I never use the birthing stuff because I am 84 years old! 😀
Go to Patti Haught in patient experience on the east side of the hospital next to the heart center.
Online
You will need to contact the hospital directly (by telephone or walk in) to find this kind of information or a copy of the information you need.
