Father-in-law's wallet was stolen, need new ID. Made appointment because online application not available for our request. Got in appointment line ask if fill out online form, advised them their website said online option not available need to come in person. Fine, fill out application, but need to wait in regular line and can't get back to appointment line. DC DMV is the worst. Other DMV let you keep you place in line after necessary forms filled out.

I went to this branch , their tv monitor not working ,only their speaker. My number called, i did not nituced because i answered a call from my phone. after 5 minutes i noticed my message saying my # is being serve at this window, so i went in that window 2 people in line before me. i waited on that line when its my turn, the lady asked what can she do, i said application for lost id, I showed the message on my phone. " She sai this is for Drive test only i cannot help you". I said but they texted me to come ti this window She told me to go back to the lady in the front door and get another #. i told the lady and i showed the text, when she questioned her that my # got missed, the lady in that window said " That was called earlier, she missed it. So it does not make sense... that was not the reason she denied service on me,,,she adamantly insisted her line is only for Drive test. Poor customer service. workers should learn to accomodate people needing service. Even how busy they are. They need to learn to show respect and practice good manners. Bec if they dont know how to deal with people.. they should change job.

I was at this Dmv location yesterday and they had a system failure and as a result there were huge lineups and a little bit chaos. I was pretty impressed how all the Dmv employees worked together and kept the show running. This was my first time at Dmv and everyone was super sweet and friendly! So they get 5 stars

Today, was the worst experience ever! Window 20 & 15 around noon, two guys with the worst people skills and customer service EVER!!! I usually visit this location and even when the representative couldn't fix my problem, they are always pleasant and prompt to help. Today, both of them were rude, they didn't let me explain what I needed, they just grab the paper from my hands and start screaming about what they thought I was there for. They showed how little they care about their customers and also the lack of interest about their job.

Yes. There's a registration renewal machine (DMV Now).
Yes you can. Go to the DMV website and search for address change
No
Yes.
Call the DMV and ask
If you want you can go without appointment and line up in non appointment line .
Yes, typically on Saturdays, but it's not guaranteed. Only if an appointment cancels
As long as they have them in stock you should be able to.
East market and make a right off the freeway
Unless your DL is not from CA, the answer is No, when your DL up for renewal, then renew it as CA ID instead will work. Your CA ID will have the same number as your DL.
No you go to the line for appointments and some dmv it a same line of handicapped you bypass line.
Yes if it needs smog do That first bring insurancr card
No. The DMV is a California State licensing agency with local offices throughout California. You can go to any DMV office anywhere in California. The DMV experience, with long wait times, redundant paper work, and soviet-style "service" is the equalizing force that we Californians share. Viva la California!
Make an appointment on the DMV site
No.
Right now due to covid case increases and stay at home orders, DMV is not taking any new appointments and canceling most they currently have. You can go online to check the Daly City DMV website to see what wait times are for walk up service. Make sure you have all the forms filled out before you get there and it will speed up your visit.
Right now DMV is only catching up on previous appointments, but you dont need an appointment anyway. You will get in line outside and a staff member will give you a sheet with a number then when you get near the door another staff will take your info and tell you to wait in your car until you receive a text message to go inside. Once inside you will wait for your number to be called, and the whole process will take about an hour.
No, DMV REP CONFIRMED.
I waited in line outside for a short time, and waited inside short time. But I had everything together. I had a picture of license plate, so had no need to go back to my bike, and all the paperwork needed. It wasn't crazy inside like usual. I didn't make an appointment.
You need to contact the DMV and see what you need to do. Awhile ago they helped people that had tickets so they could get their license back.
I know you can. Just go to DMV to do the switch
Yes they will be open at 8am
There wont be a line at all. I was just there 2 days ago. They check your temp and give you a number. Then you will recieve a txt on your phone when there ready to see you
Im sure they sent it out to you and it got lost in the mail contact the DMV and find out if it has been sent out
Yes
Go to dmv website. Be advised, appointments could be a long way into the future. I registered REAL ID online and just showed up one morning and got my id within a couple of hours.
Go to their website and try submitting your documents. If successful, go early to DMV for completion of REAL ID application. Good luck!
They're only taking walk-ins for people that cannot do anything online
Only inside DMV, not outside.
Not yet
You don't have to go at all; download it from DMV website.
You don't have to but it is encouraged. My DL was stolen recently as well and I came at 6:30 am waited in line, and was done by 8:20 am.
No. But you can use a debit card.
I'm not sure I understand. But to my understanding, you can only choose one. DL with Real ID, or DL without it. Assume Real ID as a kind of "stamp" on your license. You can choose whether you want the stamp or not.
You have to visit DMV in person. Good luck!
Yes, it's TRUE. My 76 year old mother had to, no violations either.
Provide proof from your doctor that they have extended it.
No
No. Change of addresses are done in person
I was told if you want the Real ID you need two pieces that verify your identity (DL, passport, ss card, etc) and either pay $28 for the "upgrade" or take the written test for free.
No just walk in to
You need to contact the DMV.
You have to bring your own license registered insured vehicle
Depends on how you made the appt. Either online or call them .
No, it's a national holiday.
Yes
dmv.ca.gov or call their toll free number. Age has no relevance.
Yes
8:00 am.
https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/realid/residencyfaqs
That will depend on the appointment they give you, I suppose so, but the exam is through the appointment. And if it's for the first time, I doubt you get it on Saturday, the daily city dmv works on normal schedule on Saturday, I do not see why that day do not do practical exams.
I had to pay a $28 fee. I don't believe it has to do with whether or not you drive but I am not an expert. The real ID is about getting on airplanes and access to federal bldgs.
No u don’t coz the tickets on his drivers liscence
How about checking the DMV website.
Simple answer yes. However if you do be ready to spend an extended period of time.

No.
Behind the wheel test has to be made with an appointment.
You must call dmv A while back news said they were swamped out..... You should call Number 8 to 5 on Internet
I think so and make police report
I dont know what you have !
Sorry no s p ainish
Once you're given the interim driver's license, allow up to 30 days for your drivers liscense in the mail. In your case, you can contact dmv via phone yet I recommend you physically go to a dmv office. Your inquiry at the dmv would be you haven't received your DL and someone at the ticket booth will assign you a specific ticket for DL inquiry. I advise you submit an online DL44 application online prior to going to dmv; otherwise, once you receive a ticket at the office, go to window #1 and submit DL44 application there which takes approx. 3 mins. Hope this helps. ☺
You may want to find out if there are any available appt slots by going online as people do take initiative to cancel their appt. If none available, you may want to attempt going on a Saturday which line may be less congested. Office hours for upcoming Saturday is from 8-1pm. Hope this helps ☺
Usually at outside 90 days max but most people 45 to 60
Yes it said on news

No, there's a separate appointment line inside. It's much shorter.
Don't go there without an appointment unless you have 3 to 6 hours to waste
YES ...
You can go online to find the exam questions, and tell him when you go to the scene that you want to test the paper Chinese exam questions.
No
$25 or more. Just prepare $100. You never know when you might need it.
San Mateo one is pretty empty most of the time (compared to the DC one, since DC services DC and SF).
It depends on which DMV you are talking about because not all DMV's are the same. So I would advice that you call the DMV that you choose to go to. Plus, otfried Keller please check your spelling. It's "HANDICAP" not hanycapped.
Yes, but you're probably going to wait a minimum of around 6 hours, and if you don't have all of your documents EXACTLY in order you're going to have to start the process over. Problem is that when you ask which documents you need, every employee there will give you a different answer, so all you can do is hope that you have the right chain of DMV employees that all had lunch together or something because they're all somehow on the same page as to what hoops you need to jump through to get what you need.
Call DMV.
You have to present yourself in any DIV office at the time available with your IDE and the title of the vehicle and only report it that you cancel it
You need to line up if you're don't have an appointment
Mon - Fri: 8 AM to 5 PM Sat/Sun: closed
Due to the pandemic there are certain things that are so suspended !!
That is a question you should put to DMV
Not sure dont understand
Do you open Saturday?
