If you are seen at the Mason Health Anti-Coagulation Clinic and receive a bill which seems high, ask your insurer if the clinic is billing an Evaluation and Management Code (E/M code such as 99211) with Revenue Code 0761 (for treatment room). This practice has been identified by several insurance companies as fraudulent, but is practiced by this clinic. In my partner's case, their improper use of this revenue code causes the visit to be subjected to our out-of-pocket maximum instead of paid in full by the insurer -- a cost of approximately $1800 annually. I attempted to work with their billing office for 3 months to get these bills resubmitted correctly to no avail -- wound up with some billing agent attempting to mansplain to me why I was incorrect. Unfortunately for the young gentleman, I spent 18 months as the liaison between UCLA's ER physicians and the medical coders prior to attending and graduating from medical school. Tired of wasting my time with their billing staff, I instead filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner to request that my insurance company expedite reversal of these fraudulent claims. I recommend all patients in a similar position do the same. This state is such a hotbed of innovation in medical billing fraud -- fight back, win.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised today with my visit to the ER. Everyone I encountered was extremely pleasant and understanding to my condition. My care was without a doubt top notch. Always a but though…. As I was lying down in my room after my X Ray many calls started to come into the front desk of the ER from what I presume were EMT responders. While this in and of itself was not unusual, what was, was how the patients personal information echoed throughout the entire ER? Seems like a HIPPA violation at best, but then to hear the varied responses from hospital staff to a mental health patient coming in was very very very troubling. I wish I never heard what I heard considering how well I was treated, but I did and it is unfortunate to hear hospital staff speak this way in regards to a possible incoming patient.

4/20/22 10:32 AM A senior woman who seemed disabled & very ill was shaking & very much in distress was waiting to go back to see a doctor. The nurse came out a young blonde woman & a man with glasses & curly hair (he was respectful & offered to carry her items) the blonde woman demanded the senior to get up & start moving & the senior said "one moment let me take a drink of my water" the nurse freaked out demanding again that the woman get up & start moving, the senior seemed even more distressed at this point. Then the nurse kept raising her voice demanding the senior to start moving because they "have a lot going on today" at this point the security officer came over as if the senior is the one causing problems. At this time the senior wobbled her way back to the doctor's room. My take away is that the nurses here can be very arrogant treating there time is more important then the patient being seen. That is very scary especially considering this is a hospital. Will they leave you with half stitches because they "don't have time to finish them"

I'm not a hospital or ER kind of person but....I was in extreme back pain and didn't have a choice. I just want to say thank you to the entire Mason Health team who checked me in, took care of me and sent me on my way knowing what was wrong with me. Special thanks to nurse Paulson and Doc Reynolds. All though you gave me my form in Spanish (ha ha) you ladies meant the world to me and I am thankful.

In my opinion, every staff member that I had contact with, was the utmost professional and I would hate to choose between them. I went in dying and came out alive, I love them all. God bless them all.
I'm really unsure of that I don't go to that hospital often sorry I couldn't help
Yes. They have a testing site across the road from the main hospital.
At this time, it is not possible to sign up for a specific vaccine. Every week, Mason Health receives an allotment of vaccine from the state, and for the week of March 15, there have been no (zero) Johnson & Johnson vaccines allocated to the state of Washington.
All appointments for the vaccine clinic are currently full. When additional appointments open up, and inventory becomes available, we will provide a way for patients to sign up on our website. Drive-thru mass vaccination clinics will be scheduled weekly as vaccine is allotted. Mason County's website will be updated late Friday afternoons with the upcoming clinic date and information about how to register -- https://www.co.mason.wa.us/COVID-19/vaccination-information.php
Our website is updated regularly. Please visit: https://www.masongeneral.com/about/covid-19 to see the most current information. Thank you.
At this time, we are still scheduling 1A vaccines. Please visit https://www.masongeneral.com/about/covid-19 for the most up-to-date information and to find the best method of scheduling your vaccination at this time.
Be very careful. I asked for a foot Dr covered under blue cross and was given a name and they signed an appointment with thatdr. Well only to find out that Dr was not covered and stuck me with a big bil.
I was employed there for ten years. I moved to another department. They are open to the public. A lot of the community eat there. Breakfast is served 7:30 to 10 , lunch is 11:30 to 1:30 and dinner is 5:30 to 7 that is for the entrees severed at the window. The salad bar is served all day as well as other options in the coolers and soup from 11:30 to 7
Our CPR classes are closed to the public at this time.
Call MGH ask for human resources. LONNIE is your man
That's pretty high, were you doing any heavy activity just before checking it? I would recheck it again and if it's still that high you might want to give your doctor a call.
No you can't. It is an Emergency Center. Only if you are in need of emergent care.
