Lake Frierson State Park

A nice state park off of highway 141 between Jonesboro and Paragould. It has a visitor center where you can buy snack foods, fishing tackle and bait, camping equipment, and get more information about the park in general. The park offers a boat ramp, camp sites, pavilion rental, fishing and paddle boat rentals, picnic areas, shore fishing, a fishing pier, walking trails, a playground, and other activities throughout. The park employees have always been very friendly and offer assistance and answer any questions when asked. I wish there was more areas cleared out for those that do not have or do not wish to use a boat but overall it is a good park.

This is a very small park that is perfect for fishermen and their sons. Very few campsites. A place where guys can get away for a few days. No showers, no flush toilet, no sink or mirrors. If you love the outdoors and respect other campers; keep this as a guy fish camp. If you glamp or don’t fish, move on down the road. Trucks, boats and boys. If that is what you are searching for, this is the place! Happy fish tails!

Except for large number of fishing boats, this is a very nice lake. I kayak , so the guys opening up to find the next fish makes kayaking a bit uncomfortable. The park is well kept, good fishing from bank. Friendly helpful Park Rangers. If boat motor sizes were limited...or made a "no wake" lake would kayak there more often.

This is my favorite place to get away from town, my family has been coming here since it was completed. Great fishing too!
