We've had a pleasantly great experience with Pride. From the moment we called in to start service about a year ago, to the times we've called in to have them do a bulky item pick up, and to schedule a drop off a temporary dumpster, they have always been great on the phone and very helpful. The collection service we get at our house has also been very good. One of the best disposal companies we've worked with.
TIGARD STORE
We pay extra to Pride for a secure dumpster, We have had issue's with our lock dissapearing when the dumpster is picked up by pride to be emptied. We have called on multiple occasions to get this resolved and what I get is " Our drivers couldnt have taken it" A lock and chain has dissapeared twice! So we pay for a secure dumpster that isnt secure! Please pick this up and deliver a regular dumpster this is not worth the extra money or the extra time to keep this secure.

I moved Tigard for few months, prime disposal is only I have to use in my community. our garbage schedule is on every Thursday but they did not take my garbage bin not once time. when we call them or send email for asking the solution, the only reply that we need to wait until Monday. it’s horrible I can’t have any trash for few days as my garbage is full. It is imminent problem but no one care about. bad service ever, but poor me I can’t change. anyone can help me how to fix it? The weird thing is my recycle bin was picked, but my garbage bin is still here.

Every time we put oil out in the clear jug for proper disposal, they leave it sitting and don’t dispose of it. You accidentally get one piece of trash thrown in with the recycling and they leave the whole bin. For a state that touts how green they are trying to be they sure make it hard to properly dispose of recycling.

If you want to recycle them, you can bring them to our depot (more details here: https://pridedisposal.com/resources/recycling-drop-off). If you want to dispose of them curbside, they can go in your garbage. Please make sure they are contained inside of a garbage bag before placing them in your garbage.
Dan, I'm sorry that happened. McDonald St can be a very busy street and providing collection services there can sometimes interfere with traffic but we do have to collect carts on many busy streets in our service area. We reviewed the video from the driver's truck and he waited at the intersection for several cars to pass before turning onto McDonald. He ultimately pulled out when there was enough space for him to do so. I'm sure you were not expecting him to stop but he did not do so to purposely impact your driving, he did so in order to pick up the customers on McDonald St. We do appreciate you bringing your concerns to us so we could review the driver's conduct and make sure he was operating safely.
It needs to be bagged. Best to knot it so you don't get it all over the inside of your can.
They are responsive to these issues and will swap it out for another can.
They cannot be disposed of at the curb. You can bring them to our recycling depot in Sherwood for a nominal fee in an approved sharps container. Details on our depot hours and fees can be found on our website: https://pridedisposal.com/resources/recycling-drop-off
If you live in our service area, we can pick them up for you. Contact our office for more information. They can’t be dropped off at our facility.
All routes are on regular schedule the week of Thanksgiving.
A standard garbage bag from the grocery store is fine. Just place it on top of it next to your garbage cart and make sure the bag is tied closed. There is an extra charge per bag.
Our facility is not licensed to accept garbage from the public. If you live in our service area, you can put out extra bags of garbage next to your cart for an extra charge. Contact us with your address for details on the charge.
If the sink and faucet are metal, you can bring to our depot for no charge. Otherwise the items would be garbage. If you live in our service area you can contact us about picking up as a bulky item if the sink does not fit inside your garbage cart.
If any residual paint in the cans is 100% dry, you can place them in your garbage. If they are metal cans and there is less than 1 inch of dry paint in the bottom of the can, they can go in your recycling cart. No wet paint can be disposed of in your carts or a rental container. If you have wet paint, please visit www.paintcare.org for a free drop off nearest your location.
All routes are running 1 day late this week due to the weather. More details can be found here: https://pridedisposal.com/about/news/weather-related-service-update-2-15-21

Many types of paper can be recycled if it's just standard paper wrapping. Wrapping paper that includes foil or glitter is not recyclable. Make sure to discard all bows and ribbons before recycling the wrapping paper.
If you're trying to figure out what the collection schedule is for your home, you can lookup your schedule here: https://pridedisposal.com/resources/curbside-schedule

We do have a public recycling depot but are not licensed to take garbage from the public. The closest facility for you to drop off garbage is Metro in Oregon City. Here is a link to a list of what we take at our depot: https://pridedisposal.com/resources/recycling-drop-off
Michael is right, empty aerosol cans can go in your recycling. Remove the plastic cap and place it in the garbage. The nozzle can remain on the can.
Sorry I don't work thier or have them for my garbage service
Put it out instead of your yard debris cut in half if taller than 5 foot or you can cut it up and put it in your yard debris
They can be recycled at our recycling depot in Sherwood. Small inside lights can be dropped off as is. Larger outdoor lights must first have the bulbs removed but the wires can be dropped off.
Depending on where you live, if your neighborhood does road leaf cleanup it’s done by the City or County. If your area does not have road leaf cleanup, we work with your city to provide drop boxes at one location for leaf cleanup. Feel free to contact our office for more information. You can also place out extra yard debris in paper yard debris bags, there is a charge for this extra material.
We will pick them up from your home if you live in our service area. They cannot be dropped off at our recycling depot. If you'd like to schedule a pick up please contact our office to do so.
Yes, both can go in the garbage.
No, film plastic of any kind (bubble wrap, plastic bags, etc) cannot be recycled curbside. You can place it in your garbage if you want to dispose of it curbside. Some grocery stores have containers for film plastics (plastic bags) and may accept bubble wrap in those containers as well, but you should check with them to confirm.
Hard cover books can be recycled if the pages and the cover are separated. They are a different type of material but both can be included once they’re no longer attached.
You cannot recycle styrofoam curbside. You can bring it to our recycling depot in Sherwood. The charge is $5 per car load. You can also bring it to Agilyx in Tigard for no charge.
Fluorescent light bulbs can be brought to our recycling depot in Sherwood and there is a charge of $.50 per bulb if they are tubes that are 4' or shorter. More information can be found here: https://pridedisposal.com/resources/recycling-drop-off If you'd prefer to dispose of it curbside, it can go in your garbage. It needs to be wrapped in paper with both ends taped or contained entirely in a plastic bag. Don't break the bulb to contain it.
The price varies depending on what jurisdiction you live in. Please contact our office with your address so we can answer that for you. Thanks.
That material belongs in the garbage. If it’s too large to fit in your garbage cart, you can call our office and find out options for a bulky item pick up.
You can bring it to our recycling depot in Sherwood for no charge. If you'd like it picked up and you live in our service area, you can schedule a bulky item pick up to have it removed from the curb.
Yes, it just needed to be flattened and cut into pieces no larger than 3' x 3'. There is no charge for extra recycling. If you have a significant amount, we would appreciate if you contact our office and let us know in advance.
Yes, we can pick them up as part of your yard debris service. Check out our website for details on size restrictions and what to do: https://pridedisposal.com/residents/yard-debris
The minimum charge for shredding is $8, which covers a full red bin of paper (like used for glass recycling). There is also a full list of fees on our website.
It's best if you contact our office via phone or e-mail so we give you specifics for your address and make sure we service your location. You cannot bring mattresses for disposal at our location in Sherwood, it would have to be picked up.
This week and next week (New Year's) we will be picking up Tuesday through Friday customers 1 day late. If your normal collection day is Wednesday, it will be Thursday this week and next. https://pridedisposal.com/residents/holiday-collection-schedules
Paint cans that have less than 1 inch of 100% dry paint in the bottom can be recycled at the curb.
It depends on your address. You can find your calendars on our website 24/7. You can also contact our office and we'd be happy to mail calendars to you.
We generally do those events once per year at our depot. We also partner with local police departments (usually in the Spring) to do 3-4 free shredding events each year.
No, vacuums are not recyclable so that would be an item to include with your garbage.
We provide 4 different sizes of roll carts: 20-gallon, 32-gallon, 60-gallon, and 90-gallon. To find out the cost please contact our office with your address.
As long as it's untreated wood and fits within the yard debris size restrictions, it can be included. Size must be less than 4" in diameter and less than 36" long.
We do provide bulky item collection to customers in our service area. The price varies depending the size and weight of the items you have. If you contact our office we can give you more specific pricing. A couch, for example, would be around $40 for collection.
They have a locked bin that all of the paper goes into and it's all shredded all at once I think every night something like that will take one red container for I forget if it's $10 or something like that it's a relatively small fee
We don’t take fuel but you can contact Metro (503-234-3000) for drop off locations for that kind of material.
If you could please call our office or send us an e-mail we can more adequately help you with the issue you're having.
If January 1st falls on a weekday (as it did in 2018) then there is no collection and all services Jan 1 through the end of the week are delayed 1 day with Friday customers picked up on Saturday.
Their website has the normal schedule. I *think* that the holiday schedule is one day after the holiday.
