Im in jobcorps right now and there is nothing wrong with this place sure the food is not the best and some staff can give you a hard time but between the trade the free food and free room plus the education it could be worse yeah its a pain to put up with but there no resion to call staff out its not that bad

I went here in 2011 there were times that they cut food down to nothing but a biscuit and water for breakfast and a small bowl of pasta for lunch was under poor management but the skills I gained were valuable enough to get laughed out of a couple interviews the structure was good for life skills and staff were friendly and helpful for the most part so I think it’s fair to say not worth going unless you want to diversify the types of people that you meet because you get to know all types there

Tried going to the refuge to walk the trails but they charged to much. So I turned around. You have to pass by this school to get to the refuge. About a mile down the highway after leaving the area a conservation agent pulled up on me and said he had the right to search me and detain me because I had simply walked down the same public street that this place was located on. However after a hour of hassle and to state cops showing up they never did get my name or get to see any I'd or what I had in my pockets Because no crime has been committed and they had no right to be harrasing me. I walked away leaving them super mad and kicking rocks. Aww poor guys someone made you follow the law. Never forget to flex your rights!

I applied for them in July and got a meeting with a counselor and I had the interview over the phone and the lady I had her name was Sheila she wasn't very friendly And sounded kind of snotty and then after that I started getting ghosted I still have not heard absolutely anything from them we have called multiple times left voicemails when they did call they just kept saying I was under review even after their "30 day time limit" and they did not even call to tell me I didn't get in, very unprofessional! I Even put off getting A job because I wasn't sure what was going on with Mingo and completely wasted time !!Do Not Recommend Applying Here At All!!
