The worst terminal of all the Washington State Ferry Terminals. Let me give you an example- they lost power to their ramp 4/4, delaying all ferries the rest of the day in the San Juan Islands for at least 2 hours. Trying to get off the island? Show up 29 minutes before your reservation and scheduled ferry crossing? Too bad, doesn’t matter if the ferry is late, you’re in standby for the next few hours. Ask them if standby might make the next ferry? A rude overweight toothless employee tells you the ferry might not even make it here to the island. Completely lacking professionalism. I have no faith in the ferry system thanks to the Orcas Island Ferry Terminal. It wouldn’t be so bad if the online reservation system was any good- but the system is terrible. Frustrating end to vacation.

Orcas hotel is the only place we found tap beer. Nice patio, awesome views, cold beer - good place to wait for the ferry:)

Beautiful island with lot of fun actvities; Moran state park, kayaking, whale watching, ride in ferry from Anacortes to Orcas island. All together a lovely day to be spent.

No, those that walk on to the ferry require no reservations. However, make sure to arrive early as the parking lots fill up quickly. Reservations only required if driving a vehicle onto the ferry.
