Positive: Location was great. Bar was pleasant. Parking was ideal. Location of room was fantastic because it was quiet. Negative: The main thing was the carpet needed to be vacuum! There was food, and objects on the floors for four days. Spilled drinks (coffee stains) on hallways ledges for four days. VERY DIRTY! Spilled liquids on hallways tile floors! Lack of help for breakfast.

We had an online reservation and checked in late. The check-in was quick and I liked the free parking. There must have been an event on the day we stayed there because there were no parking in the front, only in the back. Overall, the rooms were clean but they need a deep clean. You can see that dust have collected overtime on the trims. The one thing that I did not like was the noise. Like other reviews, the walls are thin because you can hear what other people are doing next door.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room is a standard room. Housekeeping is available upon request which did not bother me. Fresh towels were available by calling the front desk. The first night the room was very warm. I thought I had fixed the problem by adjusting the unit but in the middle of the night it defaulted back to the very warm temperature. I did not report to desk because I was able to adjust it on day 2 and slept well. Unfortunately, the same thing happened during the night on day 3. My sister used the fitness facility and said it was nice.

Visitor to Northwestern

Check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. Was in town to support family event at Northwestern. Hotel looks very nice from the outside and staff member at check in was pleasant. Room was in older section of the hotel and was ok. Large laundry bins in hallway had to be navigated all weekend. Dinner Friday evening at restaurant was very good and staff very friendly. The common areas had No spaces for families to gather and spend time together. I am sure this was due to Covid but with restrictions lifted, the hotel should think about putting back some tables and chairs (in large middle area and pool area) for guests to use with distancing. . We wanted to celeberate my nephews birthday - fav snacks and cake. We had 7 people and there was no where for us to meet and enjoy each others company. Asked about space roped off by pool was told it was $200 rental fee and asked for 1 hour in outside bar area in mid afternoon and told I would have to ask the Manager. Neither space was that great and worth the hassle. Saturday evening found an ant in the room and didn't worry about. Sunday morning woke to a bathroom full of ants and later found ants in some of our luggage. Informed desk at check out and they said they would send maintanence and "sorry for that happening". Seems it might be a common issue. Breakfast is not worth the money but the waitress working both Sat and Sun morning was wonderful and should get a raise considering what she needs to deal with each day. You have to go to desk to get a voucher on the morning of your breakfast if you prepay- no one tells you this so Waitress has to explain this to everyone. There is a better system for this General Manager of Hotel. The food was ok but definately not enough choices on the buffet - no fruit, yogurt or pastries. Sat Am had serv yourself coffee that ran out at 845am and Sun the waitress had to serve drinks...?? I would recommend breakfast elsewhere. Overall, was happy to leave and will likely choose new place if we need to come back.
