I never thought I'd leave a review for a grocery store but this location is HORRIBLE. I'm am avid Jewel shopper and love the other locations in the surrounding areas but I do everything I can to avoid the prarie street jewel. I've had nasty comments by the cashiers about the products I'm buying, I've asked for help in an aisle and been told that I need to find someone else to ask because it's not their department but the one next to theirs, and they always seem to have up sales signs for items that do not ring up on sale. Worst of everything by far is the customer service and the attitude of all their employees, sales floor and cashier included. Someone needs to teach these employees how to speak to customers with basic respect and manors.

i was in the hospital. when i got out. called my voicemails back, one being from jewel saying they had my backpack.( had my prescriptions and laptop and some other things in it..2-3k$ worth easy.) i was then yelled at by the manager on the phone saying "SIR SIR WE DONT HAVE IT ANYMORE...MAYBE WE THREW IT AWAY ITS BEEN A WEEK!" so one of their employees has person info of mine and they are scammers. wont shop here again unless i'm going to just go take things that are not mine.

All I have to say is thank God for the 24-hour pharmacy. The gentleman that helped me out was efficient and knew exactly what to do. I got my prescriptions in 15 minutes at 3:00 in the morning.

I will stop going to the Elburn Jewel because at the Deli counter the older women talk to customers like they are doing you a big favor, the baggers overload the plastic bags making then hard to carry and very few cashiers smile or talk to the customers. What is wrong there? This used to be a friendly great place to shop now I go to the one in St. Charles.
