Kitchen was down and the staff didn't explain what was going on and if it was going to be fixed soon. There was a lot of people waiting but most ended up leaving. I'm sure it was out of the staffs control but a sign on the door or better explanation and apology would have felt better than just saying kitchen is backed up and we don't know for how long. Of course my kids was so upset because all they talked about was the minion items on the menu and we had to leave.

Avoid at all costs. Seriously, go support your locally owned breakfast joint. We were waiting 40+ minutes for food. Finally the waitress tells us at that point that it will be "just a few moments" and that "they're training two new cooks today"... Well you probably should have been decent enough to mention there was going to be a huge wait, then, instead of just leaving us here wondering all this time. Fifteen minutes later I'm literally just about to stand up and walk out and miraculously here comes the food. Well surprise surprise the order is wrong and missing things, the French toast is the most pathetic looking dish I've ever seen and the eggs have obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for who knows how long. At this point I really had enough and I decided we were going to get off this about to be train wreck altogether and just continue with my intention to leave. Did I mention the more I looked around this joint, the more I noticed all the grime and sloppiness, along with the employees generally looking exasperated and or confused at all times. I should have known with my first stop at the bathroom, where the sink was backed up and the urinal was positioned awkwardly low and directly next to the sink with no barrier whatsoever, along with the hand dryer positioned inches above the overflowing garbage. Disgusting, I will NEVER be back. Screw these chains and their horrible management.

This is, without question, my favorite breakfast restaurant. This is true primarily for one reason - the pancakes...makes sense though doesn't it - it is the International House of Pancakes afterall. I don't know how they do it, so light and fluffy, coupled with the whipped butter and strawberry syrup, this place is a pancake lover's delight. I was also really grooving to their soundtracks - playing all the music I like as a backdrop seemed to make the food even better. The service was good, even if a bit slower than I would have preferred, but I suppose you can't rush a good pancake. I'm going to make it a point to eat here more often!

Personally, on the rare occasion I answer my phone, I make sure I move to an area (like the lobby) where I won't disturb anyone. I find it very disrespectful to others for someone to be on the phone while I'm trying to enjoy my meal.
There's a sign that states one person allowed in the bathroom at a time(something like that or it).
Yes! This IHOP is temporarily closed. Something to do with the kitchen equipment.
