Staff walking around vaping. So much food was out of date . Staff wouldn't even look up to say hello. The young grocery manager was great though. Good guy with a professional manner. He saved that store for me.

This is one of the largest most well-stocked stores I've ever seen. However, I eat almost exclusively organic so it would not be my go-to store. They did have sir kensington's Mayo which I particularly wanted.

If you are staying in the Banner Elk/Beech Mountain area this Food Lion is convenient. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They had a lot missing but my visit was right after Christmas. It is a smaller store so does not have all the options you may be used to.

I can't say as of today with all the new restraints in place.but they never have had before.
The Food Lion in Greensboro does and I think the Banner Elk store has had it in the past.
Easy to make a roux yourself with flour & bacon grease, butter or cooking oil. Check foodnetwork.com or another cooking site. Maybe southernliving.com or epicurious.com I didn't even know you could buy a roux.....but it might be common in the Gulf area?
It's probably best for you to just drop by there to see what they have and if it's to your liking.
I don't think so, but if enough people request it they may start carrying it, so tell the manager every time you're in there. In the meantime do a Google search for it, you may be able to order it online or find it elsewhere like the hotsauce store in Carolina Beach. Good luck!
