Deceptive communication about discounted room rates. Unclean, smelly room. We visited for a family graduation and were offered a group rate, arranged by the event planner. There was no limit communicated on the number of days we could receive the discounted rate. The event dates published by Marriott on the special booking link offered a 5 day date range. When we checked out we were charge full price for 2 of our 4 nights. The hotel has been unwilling to refund the extra room charge, falsely stating after the fact that there was a 2-day limit, although this limit was not communicated at any time during our booking process and not imposed on other guests in our family and we have provided proof of this. The hotel employees have since ignored our emails, no reply. It seems like there has been a change of staff and they are unable/unwilling to reply or correct this matter. The first room we were checked into was filthy- dirt and hair on every surface, brown sticky spots all over the bathroom walls and ceiling as if a previous guest exploded a can of soda and the bathroom was not cleaned. The room was warm and smelled bad, like plastic and fish. The windows do not open and the air conditioner was not working properly so it was not possible to air out the room. We asked to be moved to another room, which was clean, but this was not a great experience overall. The property is not in a bustling downtown neighborhood, its on an expressway, so I'm not sure why they charge $20 a night for parking.

Likes: -Our room had no carpet (yay) god I hate carpet lol -Great shower -Very comfortable bed with clean fresh white sheets -Rooms was clean -Room was neat and organized -Nice size television -Very helpful staff -Aesthetically pleasing -Clean/fresh rags and towels - Location wise it wasn’t far out from things like other hotels. Just the right amount of distance in our opinion. Dislikes -I wish they had a parking garage.

Excellent experience all round! We attended a party at the hotel in the evening and brunch the next morning. The food was delicious, the servers very considerate and helpful, the physical space fine, it was lovely. Our hotel rooms were updated and very attractive, the bathroom particularly well done. Beds comfortable, tv fine, very clean and fresh. No problems with noise or anything else. Of special note- my allery free room had no carpet and for the first hotel stay ever I didn’t feel sick. Hallelujah!! Front desk very accommodating and offered to give us a late checkout which was great! Parking free and easy, all staff very pleasant, the price discounted for party members, the entire experience was perfect! Thank you Marriott- a home run!

This hotel is very convenient in terms of location. Very accessible to D.C. and plenty of things to do in surrounding cities and towns. The hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable. The staff was nice. The restaurant had a great buffet breakfast. Awesome food. The ballroom event we had was amazing. The staff was helpful and nice and our event was memorable. The food was great at the event and had we had a great time. The room was good. The a/c didn’t seem to fully function. The free wifi internet was not good. The queen bed was 8/10 in terms of comfortability. Overall a nice hotel.
