SO needs an EDL since our trip to Victoria BC was within three weeks and the passport was no where to be found! It was nerve wracking… I went online on 7/25 to make a reservation and pick the Arlington office since it was reachable and had the earliest available spot on the 27th. Two minutes after that I was able to locate an appointment in the Shoreline office for myself on the 26th. Both appointments went smoothly. Visiting the Arlington office turned out to be a very pleasant experience. It was easy to locate, with plenty of parking spots, the lady at the reception desk was friendly and seemed very helpful to the walk-in visitors. Social distancing was well observed here. Arlington seems like a super nice area! Okay that was a bit too far out of the line. Anyhoo SO received the EDL on 8/8. While mine is on the way and probably would arrive on 8/9. Walk-ins are currently accepting at the DOL but I think the wait would be long (around one and a half hour wait for the driver’s license application). I highly recommend an appointment. They stopped processing EDL applications one hours before closing for the walk-in applications. The DOL website that makes appointments was actually easy to use and the appointments can be canceled or edited. I was able to get my appointment at the Shoreline office on the next morning probably because someone had just canceled. So check back often if you would like an earlier appointment.

Sharon at the front door is rude. She really needs to be replaced or go work in the back.... out of customer service. The disrespectful and condescending tone in her voice is such a mood killer. Before you even enter the building she gives bad vibes. She definitely doesn’t care about helping people with their questions or concerns.... she acts like she hates it there. Respect and positivity goes a long way.... ESPECIALLY in customer service.... However, the older gentleman who helped me with my license was cool and respectful, he made the visit end on a pleasant note.

Appointment ran very much on time. Time needed for transaction was good. Minimum number of customers at office (being a Saturday might have helped).

This visit was great! I made an appointment online and when I got there I was seen in less than 5 minutes and the whole renewal only took maybe 10 minutes start to finish. The gentleman helping me was very friendly but also professional. Perfect experience!

at the 3411 16th pl office
Yes
Don't know I've never called.
Yes
most adults can renew online every second time.
U can use expired one and birth certificate
Your old one.
No. Visit www.dol.wa.gov and it will list closures for weather and holidays.
Probly but ill most likely have to take all test over again in not for sure through
Can anyone let me no if the DMV is open for titles and tabs today
No
Make an appointment and you're in and out, we went to get an ID for the first time and doing the application and picture we were out of there in 15 minutes with an appointment and waiting for like a minute or less.
No smokey point location except walk-ins but those with appointment go first. Best bet would be to get there early not hard to make an appointment either
Yes an appointment is required... Just go to the DMV website and you can make an appointment there. It's super easy and they can get you in relatively quick.
Yes
Within 30 days of the expiration date is what they like to have it.
I paid to get my i.d replaced on the 26th of August in office. Not to mention the month and a half i had to wait just to get the appt. The dol needs to be making these things up In-house. It's so crazy that we have to wait this long then wait some more. In many other states you can lose your i.d and go get another made the same day. An still I've yet to receive mine. I'm hoping it is in tomorrow though. Fingers crossed 🤞
About 3 months of waiting due to glitches in their system
You can go online and get a free print out of what tickets are holding up your license. Go to dol.wa.gov
I think all you have to do is go there with proof of your new address and your license.
Ask them where to cause this is only for tabs & register car only. I think there is a place to towards the Safeway,in that place.
I would search the DOL website, "Driving record request". It will tell you how to make the request and the cost.
Just apply for a Washington State ID Card
I had to go online. I wasn't able to do it in person.
You call in and make an appointment, is my understanding
You can renew within a year of your expiration date. No appointments. You should receive your EDL/EID in 7-10 days.
Yes. As long as you provide the 'paper copy' along with your old/expired drivers license and/or state issued I.D. If you do not have your old or expired one then you are unable to do whatever it is that consists of having to show your I.D. showing that you are of age and would just have to wait until you get you new card in the mail. I am speaking from my own personal experience so hopefully you know that I'm not just blowing smoke or making any of this up at all... Otherwise why in the hell would I even be wasting my time to type this up, right? I was just wanting others out there know what to do in a situation like the above and more, etc. So thank you to whomever takes a minute of their time that reads this.
