This experience revives my soul. The people who coordinate faire - and those who give of themselves to create this event - are some of the most creative, selfless, non-judgemental people alive. The faire is filled with artisans of amazing talent. The performers are all professional, skilled at their trade, and well worth the time. I love WMRF!

Everyone was so friendly. The food was amazing. Lots of items and many that are affordable. The shows were awesome! The costumes people had were so cool! There were unicorns, and dragons!

The funnest way to spend the sweltering summer months! I, for years have come in the summer in best dress to enjoy the festivities! Mead! Jousting! Sword fights! People watching! Booths! Food! Fun! Some tips for first timers: -You will wait in a line to get in. A VERY VERY LONG LINE. Fastest way in is to have a paper printed ticket. -There is gravel and dust, so be prepared to get dirty, and wear adequate shoes. -Bring CASH. Many vendors are cash only! -Bring EXTRA cash to TIP performers. THAT IS HOW THEY MAKE MONEY. -Water costs $3. Bring your own. It will be hot!!! - Try and get to lines early to get good seats. -Bathrooms are porta potties. -Sassparilly Root Beer is amazing. You get cheap refills.

Shows and shopping are amazing! We love talking to all the booth hosts. A lot of the goods are homemade. The shows are fun and filled with audience laughter. The staff did a great job posting water booths everywhere and reminding guests to drink water during the hot hours. I love how enthusiastic the guests are with their costumes. My opinion on traffic is that something was amiss this year. In past years, the traffic has not been this bad. We left at 2pm and it took us 1.5hrs to get out of the parking lot. We only saw one staff member trying to solve the traffic problem. Guests were getting angry, pacing outside their cars, yelling at each other, standing on top of their vehicles to find the problem, driving between rows to get a better angle to get out, etc. I don't know if there was a budget cut this year? Not enough volunteers? They oversold tickets? But traffic was rough this year. Once inside the festival, it was a blast :)

$19 one day or $36 for weekend. Family and group discounts also available check out their website
They're listed on the website.
Yes! If you have any brewer top bottles or corked bottles, bring them and they'll fill them at the refill price at the root beer booth. A wagon comes in handy for carrying food and/or small children if they get tired. There are a lot of vendors who will accept cards for payment... But just in case something catches your eye from a cash only vendor, bring cash. There are several ATMs on site, but the fees are steep.
For updated information please see WashingtonFaire.com
Please see our website for the vendor application. Our vendor coordinator will get back to you asap.
Sages Woolenglass / Sages Body Care was one of the soap vendors.
Yup hands are stamped for reentry
Yes you can
First three weekends of August! So 4-5, 11-12, and 18-19. I love how it is always those first three weekends every year so then it makes planning a breeze!
Yes, you can purchase your tickets there and it's the same line to enter the faire. They don't allow same-day ticket purchasing on the website. I still recommend buying online since the night time tickets can be sold out in person (and the fire breathing show was awesome!)
If you purchased prior to the change to being date specific you may use them for any date of the Faire. Starting next season, everyone will have to choose the date(s) they wish to attend. Some tickets may be available at the gate for purchase, but to guarantee admission, we advise purchasing tickets in advance. We do expect many of the options to sell out.
The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire has gone to a service animals only policy at this event. If your dog is a service animal, you are welcome to bring it. If it's a pet, please leave your pet in the care of another when you attend the Faire.
There is ticket information and schedule information all at WashingtonFaire.com! We'll see you at the Faire ~ Huzzah!
Hello Shannon, Thank you for your message, and we apologize for your frustration. Merchant applications are reviewed and merchants are notified of acceptance or not as soon as possible. Your application was received on 1/06/2020. Thank you for your interest in participating in the Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire.
This year's event is over, and it usually runs the 2nd weekend of August to the Last. Definitely follow the web link to find out their future dates:).
Camp opens up at noon on Friday. As you pull up to the grounds there is a large tent where you will check in, have your tickets scanned, and get your wrist bands. Someone will direct you to an area to set up your tent/camp. They are quite accommodating if you have a large group at giving you space as well. Just let them know if you have more arriving later.
Hello, The Friday night Party themes change each weekend/year. The Weekend themes for Faire - generally the first weekend changes, the second weekend is Fairies and Fantasy, and third weekend is Pirates. That being said, there is no promises that those won't change either. We like to bring new and exciting things to the Faire!
Hello, Our policy is to check ID for anyone entering our Ale Houses. Only those Guests who are 21+ may enter and purchase or consume alcohol.
Yes, we welcome crowd friendly pets of all types. Please keep your pet on a leash and clean up after your four-footed friends.
On days the faire is open they have nightly parties. On other days its a big field.
The ticket gate accepts credit cards. Most vendors accept cards as well using Square or similar services, but cash is usually preferred for small items like food.
Yes, it's 19 per adult for the day only not for the weekend. They will stamp your hand and you can come and go freely.
I'm not sure about the main gate. It's going to be closing to the general public at 7pm though, so kinda not worth spending the $19 to get in today. If you want to camp over night and go to the adult themed stuff after...8pm I think, then that check in tent is open until like midnight. It's at the back of the parking area just before entering the camping area. You'll have to check their website for the various prices.
Could try RENFUN for 30% off and see if it still works I don't believe so, but they will post ticket discounts on their Facebook if you follow them (for next year)
Hello, The Faire will continue Rain or Shine!
I was there and found several instances of people using wheelchairs, motorized carts, and even on person on crutches. The ground is either hard packed dirt often topped with hay to keep down dust, or well-trodden grass. It can be a bit uneven, but I never saw anyone having difficulty. Plenty of helpful folks if needed. One woman even decorated her's to look like a little pirate ship!
Camping is allowed for participants, cast, crew and merchants only during the week between the Faire weekends.
I'd also suggest bringing a water bottle just for your pet, since most of the water bowls I've seen are in the taverns. Remember, it gets hot!
Applications for vendors are closed for the 2018 season. The application will be available on the website after January 1 for new merchants.
yes, we do have camping each weekend from Friday to Sunday, during the Faire. Camping is primitive and entrance to the Faire is separate from the camping fee.
