Really lovely shirt hike through the woods to a beach and a fun hollow tree made into a little house. Great place for kiddos and fun for the hubby and me too.

A great short hike with a beautiful setting for a mid-way break. The way back up is a bit steeper than it feels on the way down, bring some water 💧

We went here on a whim a couple weeks ago and what an awesome place! It's on a quiet neighborhood road that ends at the Cove. There is free parking and no fee to enter or explore. Be prepared to hike down to the beach, but it's an easy hike that is marked well. All paths down will lead you do the beach. It was clean and once you get to the beach, it's beautiful. Quiet and serene, it's easy to just sit there or explore the shore for hours.

Great little hike for kids. Spent 3 hours there and took our time. I took my 6 children on this hike age ranges were 19 to 6 yo. BEAUTIFUL diverse trail with lush woods, marshland, creek, bridges, waterfront with shells, stumphouse to climb in, and great for pictures. There are some areas on the path that dropped off on one side and were narrow. We also did this walk right after the rain so the leaves and roots were a little slick going down to the beach. Also the map that is at the beginning says you are here but you are not there, you are at the trailhead lol The marshy area had bridges for the most part but the path to the stump house is thick clay like mud, my 6 yo needed mud flaps ha ha. Bring boots or tennis shoes you can clean or throw out. We took the service road back up and it is mostly a straight climb but my 6 yo made it most off the way. I would recommend a picnic on the beach before the service road back if you have young ones so they can regroup. Other than that it was an amazing place!

Parking is free
The main gravel road down to the water front is around 3/4 mile with multiple shorter trails once you get to the bottom. Some of the side trails have moderate elevation gains
You need to make it down to the bottom of the hill where there is a map of the trails. From there you go across the marsh where the trail T's off. Left to the stump house or right to the beach.
