I've been with NCCU since 2017 (auto loan) and refinanced in 2019, although at the time they had some issues getting my autopay to work they resolved it as the issue was on their end my bank told me. I was helped via phone calls and had never been inside the branch until this year when I signed up for a personal loan, which was all very new (and to be honest a little intimidating). Olivo helped me via email and phone, he had great customer service and answered all my questions, and in person at the branch he helped me for the last steps for my new loan. The branch was spacious and clean, good customer service from the tellers up front, but I especially wanted to give Olivo 5+ stars! Even when my current auto loan and new personal loan are paid, I will continue to use NCCU in the future and do recommend them.

ATM is always down. Can't go into the lobby without an appointment, so the doors is always locked. The call center to make the appointment is the most terrible run around ever. I've been looking at the tellers through the window as they stand there waving for help. I just need a simple withdraw from the bank. And I can't get that. Feels like they are keeping me from getting my money.

Super accommodating institution. I've believed in Credit Unions since a child, and am thrilled that I have been able to continue on with them as a business for 32 years now! They have worked with me over these decades to make them our best, flexible banking partner possible. Thank you!!

My mother is 85 years old with a credit score of 835, and she was declined by North Coast for a credit card! This is a person that has never had a late payment in her life, and is now on a fixed income, with a healthy savings account. AARP recently published an article exposing the dangers of using debit cards instead of a credit cards, and the fraud risks, etc. so she decided that she should get one through her credit union. She was shocked when she was declined, and at her age, took this personal. I called the credit union to try to explain the situation, and help get this resolved. She explained to me that a couple of them took a look at her application and made the decision. I tried to explain her situation to the woman I spoke with, and ask for help to resolve this so that my mother did not feel offended. While she was pleasant on the phone, she clearly had no empathy for my mother. There is absolutely no reason that her application should have been declined, other than her age and a fixed income were obviously taken into account. I would not recommend North Coast Credit Union to anyone, and we will be closing out her account. I am also on her account, and was considering moving my accounts. I am glad that I experienced their real customer service in time to avoid that mistake. Poor judgment calls!

They just see if you owe any other bank and if not it only cost 5$ to open an account its a really good bank:)
I believe they just need you to deposit $100 into an account for 1 week then the funds become available to you again
