I would like to share the great experience I had with Work Source Pierce in Tacoma. Everyone in the office was awesome. Everyone smiled and were so helpful with energy. I felt I was in the right place. Everyone was very professional. I appreciated their efforts very much. It may sound a bit silly, but making people feel appreciated, can go a long way. Career Team Specialist Rhoda Simmons and team are energetic, flexible, cooperative and easy to work with. I am extremely satisfied with Work Source Pierce in Tacoma.

Everyone was very nice and were actually interested in helping. I was running late and panicking when I called thinking that I would not be able to be seen. The gal that answered the phone told me it was going to be ok, to slow down and drive safe and they would fit me in when they could. When I got there everyone was very friendly and I had a good experience. I was prepared for a visit like the DMV and was pleasantly surprised!

Helpful friendly staff, lots of good programs free computer use (monitored and restricted). Clean and safe. Entering from Tacoma Ave., go straight down the hall and get yourself a good cup of delicious coffee and a bite at Comprehensive Coffee. This coffee shop is open from 7am to 2pm, M-F.

They sure can! They have adult programs for sure. But local colleges will have programs ready to go right away. Ask about high school21. If you go to WS ask about adult education
If you came in and introduced yourself nicely after you signed in one of the friendly staff may help you. I am a customer there too and have gathered much knowledge from them.

You will want to contact Employment Security Department regarding this. They have a page on their website with information about unemployment benefits fraud. https://esd.wa.gov/unemployment/unemployment-benefits-fraud
Depends on the documents. If they're related to unemployment, we cannot accept them but can help you fax them in.

I'm high functioning Autistic. I'm more art focused than technical. They have way to show how to get free classes especially if you are a resident of pierce county Washington State. Also you should research Washington State Federal law Chapter 49.60 RCW. Focus Particularly on RCW 49.60.180 Paragraph 4. This Federal law of Washington State means that NO COMPANY can ask a Washingtonian about disability in application online or not or interview. RCW 49.60.040 defines definitions of disability in Washington State. I know it is not much, but report rule breakers to Washington State Human Rights Commission. This will help all of us especially Autistic people get jobs. I gave copies of these rules to DSHS as I am trying to educate as many people as possible.
Worsourcewa.com Career tools Select pierce worksource, and when you find the workshop, there is a registration button Hope that helps
Hello Todd, If you are enrolled in a training or education program at WorkSource, you may be eligible for a gas card. If you are not eligible for a training or education program, then we can provide you a referral to other community resources which may meet your need for a gas card, depending on eligibility and situation. Thank you for your question! Cheryl - WorkSource One-Stop Center Manager
They sure can! Take a look at www.worksourcewa.com there is an excellent resume builder there and a calendar full of classes available to you on site.

I would recommend that you visit the WorkSource office and see if there are any resources that are available for your situation or skill building classes available. The staff are awesome and there many resources to get you on your way. The first step is always the hardest.
There are appeal forms you can print, fill out and fax in. You can always do this at a work source center.
No. You must apply online at Washington Employment Security. The Worksource office is for job search activities only, not unemployment benefits.
