Before I started coming to Accident and Injury Care (AIC) I was going to another chiropractor with no relief. I was reluctant to try another chiropractor because of the experience I had previously. I found AIC through google. I called AIC and many others to find a chiropractor service that would be different than the one I was previously at. When I called I talked to Savannah at the front desk and she was extremely helpful and willing to answer all my questions. I ended up making an appointment because of everything Savannah said and the way she explained the type of care provided at AIC. I saw Dr. Kevin Martin and he explained the different care options and which one he thought was right for me. He set me up with Shelby who does training at the attached gym. During each appointment Dr. Martin takes the time to listen how my back has been feeling over the week and the finds the spots where he thinks need to be adjusted. He only adjusts what actually needs to be adjusted, which is something new to me. He has a reason for adjusting each spot and is careful not to over adjust. If you are looking for a chiropractor in the greater Seattle area I would highly recommend Accident and Injury Care.

I have been receiving fantastic care for chronic back pain. Dr. Martin, Rilla, and all the personal trainers are fantastic. Rilla is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had - and I have had many over the years. The facility is super easy to get to from Beacon Hill, and there is always street parking nearby. Highly recommend!

Chiropractic Adjusting is performed to heal injuries around the spine and restore motion.
Decompression is a nonsurgical form of traction commonly used to treat disc related neck pain and low back pain as well as sciatica in both our Seattle and Portland Chiropractic offices. This treatment works by gently stretching the spine to take pressure off of the spinal discs.
A typical session of massage therapy lasts for 55 minutes. Ice and heat therapy often compliment massage treatment to allow additional circulatory changes and pain relief.
Massage Therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissue (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments). Rehabilitative massage, such as deep tissue or medical massage has been proven to relax tight and tense muscles and decrease pain from injuries.
You can often prevent lower back pain if you pay close attention to how you stand, sit, and move. Proper body mechanics help you avoid movements that put pressure on and strain the back. Also, ergonomically designed furniture in your home and workplace can greatly lessen your risk of developing lower back pain.
The most prevalent direct causes of lower back pain are sprains and strains. The overstretching or tearing of ligaments in the back can lead to sprains, while strains are tears in the tendons or muscles. Bending or twisting to lift heavy objects with improper form or overstretching can cause either sprains or strains, or even spasms in your back muscles.
Decompression Therapy relieves pain, reduces inflammation of the spine, and restores spinal motion all while treating the underlying cause.
Acupuncture has been shown to help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches and migraines. Our office takes this a step further by evaluating the cause of your headaches and providing a custom treatment protocol, often combining therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic and manual therapy. Acute migraines may be treated successfully by our medical staff and then alternative medicine may be utilized in our practice to reduce the occurrence and severity of subsequent migraines.
