My church. Friendly people. I'm disabled. They stream service on line so I can still see the service. Very inclusive!

We attended Real Life Church pre-COVID and continued to watch online as well. At the time our youngest was attending the toddler class and the couple that led the class we’re great. Our middle school and high school aged kids attended the youth classes. My middle schooler seems to enjoy the youth group. I think the high school group needs a bit of work. They were not as welcoming to my high schooler. Easter Sunday was our first day back (in-person) since COVID. We were pretty excited about it especially since it was Easter as well. I was so disappointed when we left service. Pastor Steve’s message was fine, but I was hurt by the lack of kindness from some of the adult and teenager volunteers. I was met with sarcasm that made me feel stupid as I tried to ensure my daughter that the youth class would have a way to get a hold of me if she wasn’t comfortable at any time. I was met with unkind looks and attitude from the teenagers when picking my daughter up from the Easter egg hunt. As well as hesitant greetings from members in the congregation. I assume we didn’t fit their standard of who attends. Although the church has become a bit more diverse it doesn’t hide the fact that they are not LGBTQ+ friendly. Equality and inclusion doesn’t stop when you finally get a sprinkle of color in your congregation. I was really disappointed. I thought out of all days, everyone would have been as welcoming as possible on Easter Sunday- to ensure they would want to return. A response is not required. I’ve heard the excuses before. In fact, this isn’t the first time we’ve brought this up about teenagers behavior toward others who are different. I can clearly see there hasn’t been a change. I pray you do more research on what equality and inclusion really means so no one will feel the way my child felt on Easter Day. God bless!

I absolutely Love, Love, Love this church! Pastor Steve is always on point at each of his services. It feels like hes talking directly to me and what's going on in my life every time. Everyone is everyone is so warm and welcoming. The activities for all ages on a regular basis really makes this church a pillar in the community.

Good worship service, good pastoral staff, good bible study on Thursday evenings run by Rabbi rod Myers. that man is very knowledgeable about the Bible, it's always a delight and insightful Bible study.

Hi Rosita! We are partnered with The Storehouse, which is Covington's food bank that is located on our property. You can see their walk up days/times and other services at covingtonstorehouse.org. Feel free to give us a call at 253-631-4163 if you have any other questions!
It was just a slip - Sometimes that happens when people speak. We have communion monthly because that’s our rhythm. However, gathering at its core is a form of communion.
You'll need to call the church.
While this church may be welcoming to you and yiur family, I don't get the sense that they woukd be affirming to the LGBTQ lifestyle.
Hi Mayi - Anyone is welcome, whether at church or at an event, unless otherwise posted. Any back-to-school activities / events can be found on our website at reallifechurch.com! Hope this helps :)
