Horrible. They promised until my Mom's death. At the end they wouldn't take her back for Hospice. She got out twice in the five years she was there. Constant missing clothing. avery few activities. The spa was never in use the whole time. Others also escaped. Read up on Brookdales lies and court cases. Go to Agis or a group home. The food was also horrible. Don't believe the tour and the price for even taking one pill a day is insane. When Mom died we had paid through the Month and they made us pack up her stuff within three days. We fought for the refund on principle. Seriously many people left but it's hard to move an advanced Alzheimer's patient. It was often dirty and short on staft. Do your research. Run for this place. The trips they promised always had limited space or were canceled. Lied to every week. The rooms never were very clean. Personal belongings gone from jewelry to just about everything you brought in. They promised she could garden. Never happened. Please run!

The staff (particularly Judy, the director and Ashley in the front office, make this place a warm and inviting place for my Mom. They have built a relationship of trust and fun with her and took the time to get to know her. I feel sad knowing that my mom is slipping away from me, but confident that she is in a safe and loving place.

Simply put the staff is amazing! Their attention to detail and also individualized care for their residents surpassed all my expectations. When visiting family I was met with genuine kindness from everyone single person from the moment I walked through the doors. I could not more highly recommend Brookdale Alderwood.
